Grew up in Southill Limerick then took myself to California with $2 I’m my pocket . I was able to win the Mr. Ireland bodybuilding championships then went on to compete many times in the Mr. American. My poor upbringing thought me to climb as high as I can as I know what’s it like to be at th bottom . Over 39 yrs later I’m stlll in California . Fond memories of Limerick

I always thought that Limerick in some ways has a more 'urban' vibe (in the best sense) than my own hometown of Cork, even; and certainly more than Galway, which (I'm generalizing here, obviously) I've always found to be a little bit 'up itself'.
@andyx2506
2 жыл бұрын
Yes, Galway is up itself but not because of Galwegians, but because of Dublin people treating it as Dublin West.

No scum, no drugheads no homeless on streets anywhere in Ireland! You'd get a kick up the hole by anyone and everyone back then if causing trouble and drugheads would be locked up in an asylum until clean. . 👈

Known as stab city in the 70's because it was full of travelers driving locals out of areas like Moyross through violence and then moving their own families in, or so I heard.

@@EveryTongueShallTell no, the term 'Stab City' was coined after a Libyan man was stabbed to death in a pub on Ellen street in 1978, even after that crime wasn't really on the rise in the city until the late 80's but somehow the term stuck.
