I enjoyed the video a lot. I am thinking of buying my first resin printer so thanks for making this review. However, I was a little disappointed. It's a mono right? Aren't they supposed to be a lot faster than color? You never mentioned print times, was there much difference? No worries tho, I enjoyed the review

It's a pretty fast printer. It's an 8k screen if that helps

Does it have the little Z blocks to level the gantry? This looks like they updated it from the other review I watched. Their website is down, which is kind of strange but they are on Amazon. I really like quality
@TheCreativeCollector

Yes it does but they level it before its shipped so you don't have to. I've had mine a while and have never had to level it.

@@TheCreativeCollector I really like the build design with the way they made the gantry instead of the normal rear hanger, which are good or they wouldn't make them still. Thank you for the response.

@@TheCreativeCollector awww... Amazon... once I bought a laptop from Amazon, before the package arrived my amazon account was not working... and I needed the order data, so I talked to them, they requested my email to reset my password and their help response was that my account never existed on their records... and I had just bought a laptop 15 days before LOL... terrible site for shopping in my experience and a lot of products do not ship overseas, lucky me, I had the order on my email. Never had any issue with Ebay in 15 years and you can even track packages directly from their site, that's why I always reccomend Ebay.

Great review of the Linant printer. Thank you for showing us that there are other printer manufacturers that are great as well. Is Susan Storm solid or hollow? What resin? Just order sirayatech craft clear, want to see how clear it is. Great work.
@TheCreativeCollector

Thanks! Susan is hollow. I used Voxelab clear resin for both her and Human Torch and it turned out well. It's pretty clear with no yellowing like some resins can do.

So, I've been debating a larger format printer. I have an Elegoo Saturn now, but was looking at something like the Phrozen Mega8K or the Elegoo Jupiter. Like you I want to do more 1/4 scale figures but have no idea which printer to go with for my next purchase. This one seems to be the same scale as the Saturn, but I was wondering if you have any larger format printers or what you would recommend?
@TheCreativeCollector
2 жыл бұрын
If you're talking bigger than the Jupiter or Mega8K then my guess is you're talking more of a commercial SLA printer which can cost into the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars. These maybe the biggest ones available for a reasonable price so far. They should be plenty big to print 1/4 scale though. I'm printing several right now.
@mzsherman
2 жыл бұрын
@@TheCreativeCollector No, I was talking about the Jupiter or the Mega8K. You have either of those? Because printing 1/4 scale on the Saturn is killing me with seaming and so many pieces at one time. Which larger format printers do you use? Or, for sake of argument, what did you print Snake-Eyes on?

Great review! The prints look impressive but the price is a bit up there, I know its a 7K but for the same price I would rather get the Photon M3 Max with a bigger print volume. hopefully you can review and compare one, one day. cheers!

What a monster of a resin 3D printer. With that build volume I would try a 1/3 scale print at least once 😅. I just got my Saturn S a couple of days ago and printed Lobo (bust) by B3DSERK. The post processing was a complete mess, but I'll keep going a trying to be better. Your yt channel and collection are my inspirations 🙌🏻.

Unfortunately their good customer service doesn't extend to defective units. I picked up the 2023 version of the base pro 8k a couple weeks ago and test prints always come out looking way overexposed and lacking any detail, even with ST navy grey and long rest times. I suspect it's due to the printer bottoming out before it actually hits Z=0, perhaps due to the viscosity of the resin. It's probably some sort of failsafe to stop the plate from damaging the screen but unfortunately they made it way too light. Anyway, they were still pretty helpful when I asked them about it, up until the point where I initiated a return request. Then they started making some ridiculous claims that it's because I'm using "3rd party resin" (lol) and that it can't be the printer because they tested their own unit and it's fine. Yeah I hope revolut let's me do a chargeback else I'm stuck with a $1000 paperweight.
@TheCreativeCollector

Did you try different exposure times? Could it be your exposure time is set too high? Try those things to make sure if you haven't already. If you still have issues let me and I'll reach out to them for you. I might get a better response.
@mcrksman
Жыл бұрын
@@TheCreativeCollector I tried all the extremes. Extremely long rest times to let the resin settle to avoid blooming. Low retract, lift. Lowest exposure I tried was 1.8 which should be pretty low especially for navy grey. Could've tried lower but already the 3rd row of pins on town was basically gone
