+InSoCAI was there too. Your right! one of the best concerts I ever went to. I remember Jackson Browne was playing Takin' It Easy and I think this is one of their first performances of that song when it became a hit. Their first hit. Wasn't Jethro Tull there too. I went to so many concerts there. I lived on 4th Ave just a few blocks from the stadium. I remember seeing Peter Frampton there too his first tour. I'm 59 now and those were the good old days for sure!

Lanny...I was there that day, too. Toot & The Maytals opened, then Jackson, Linda and finally the Eagles. A few weeks earlier, Rod Stewert & Faces played their farewell tour there backed with Loggin & Messina on THEIR farewell tour. Also on the bill that day were Fleetwood Mac on their first tour with Stevie & Lindsey...and Lynyrd Skynyrd were the openers. An amazing day.

Thank you for unearthing this! What a party! Looking out at that frenzied throng, just praying these "youngsters" survived the 70's and can show this to the grandkids tomorrow at Thanksgiving dinner! Should earn some bragging rights. Ms. Ronstadt said the bad thing about a hit, is that you had to keep singing it over and over again till it sounded like your washing machine! Well, in this clip, it sounded like the wash cycle was just beginning! Just wonderful.

Hey, thought you'd be interested in this. I visited the Rock Hall of Fame yesterday and there's a small Linda exhibit within the area devoted to L.A. rock. It's got about 5 or 6 of her Asylum album jackets, a handwritten set list from a concert she did in 1974, she's on a loop singing "You're No Good," and the achievement of both "Heart Like a Wheel" and "You're No Good" reaching number 1 together in December 1974 is listed and engraved on the wall as one of the milestones of L.A. rock.

I remember this song from the summer, I was pre-teen and not super into music but when this song came on I turned my transistor radio up and listened closely. To the youngsters out there Transistor Radio: played music 🎶 from any radio stations it would pick up, if you tilted the antenna just right, it’d have almost “no static at all” (from FM, Linda Ronstadt movie). The radio was only a radio, it didn’t have a camera, a built in playlist of all your favorite music, no screen to watch Netflix, KZitem and amazon prime, no phone or google maps to help you find your way. And back then people actually spoke to eachother in public and made eye contact because their heads weren’t looking down at their electronic devises.

I remember this showing this live on tv at the time. I dont remember the show but they just brought it on toward the end of the song but it was great. I think the single was already hittin the charts and that appearance on tv boosted her into the national stage. Looking back it was almost anti-climatic. She had a good career but I dont think she was ever able to get another song as good as Your No Good. None the less she and Heart, at least to me are the best female rockers of all time, bar none

The correct date for this show was Sept. 27, 1975 at Balboa Stadium in San Diego. The line-up was: Toots & The Maytals Jackson Browne Linda Ronstadt The Eagles Alex Karras interrupted the performance for a live broadcast of Ronstadt and the Eagles on Saturday Night Live With Howard Cosell. Annoying as hell. Otherwise, an amazing show.
