The state of Alabama has some of the highest rates of cervical cancer in the USA. The Alabama Department of Public Health, University of Alabama at Birmingham and TogetHER for Health are collaborating with the goal of eliminating the disease in the state.
When Linda was diagnosed with cervical cancer she says she was uneducated about the disease and how to prevent it.
Linda now works for the Alabama Department of Public Health in outreach, educating women about the importance of vaccination and cervical screenings. Linda shares her journey from patient to advocate in 'Conquering Cervical Cancer USA.'
