I accidentally thought I dropped acid when everything started going in slow motion. His finger picking and his voice. My stomach flipped and I blinked my eyes as they watered. When I check the speed everything was fine. People in the audience were clapping in regular speed so it must be me. This is too meta-for me. The brilliance of this song is that he did play it fast and it did feel good. When a song slows down so much that it makes you feel sick you’ve gone somewhere wrong. And I know people are gonna argue with me but don’t bother. I understand that this is Meta and it’s amazing that he did this to other people. But it’s not to me. I already know Lindsey Buckingham is a brilliant artist, songwriter, etc. I don’t need this but you are all welcome to it. I’ll listen to my Lindsay elsewhere. Cheers
Maybe after playing it hundreds of times over 45 years, he likes to vary it. Seems excusable, and more creative than doing the same thing every time.

With Christine McVie's death, and Lindsey Buckingham's ill health, I think it's safe to say that the band Fleetwood Mac is basically finished. Christine McVie was the oldest member at age 79, and Lindsey Buckingham is the youngest at age 73. The other three members are Mick Fleetwood at age 78, John McVie at age 77, and Stevie Nicks at age 75. Regardless of whatever musicians, or vocalists that the band might hire, there's just no way to replace the harmonies created by the collective voices of Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks. In addition, fans have been fairly unanimous over the years whenever Fleetwood Mac toured without Lindsey Buckingham in their lineup; that Buckingham's unique style of *Travis Fingerpicking* simply cannot be replicated by hiring 2, or 3, other guitarists to take his place.

from a player who has looked harder at the song than most, and with age, hitting those high vocal notes becomes a challenge. Lots of players drop the key of the songs down to accommodate that ( I believe LB has had serious vocal issues in the past as well). What most vocalists will do ( what my band does) is to drop the tunes a half step ( one fret), well LB has dropped things two 1/2 steps on what we are looking at. Now, dropping a tune a half step adds a distinctive change in color to the instrument and I'm thinking that the whole step- just changed the vibe in a manner that required that it be presented in another manner - as Don Henley would say " a more contemplative" manner like his Boys of Summer on the Howard Stern show. The real question I have is that outrageous chord shape that he uses that is close to impossible to stretch out and land two frets up the neck where it used to be, well, as you go lower, the frets are spaced farther apart... I don't see how he does it without Steve Vai fingers. So I tried it slow, and darned if it doesn't add a tremendous amount of room for expression compared to the single version - to a guitar player it was always more of a sprint to the finish without getting thrown from the horse. I like it slow, I'm gonna be playing it slow a lot going forward.
