A very clever man, says it how it is in a few words but he knows his trade, always admire guitar techs as I have trouble tuning a 12 string but what this guy knows could fill a hall. Great interview. Thanks for this, and I always love to listen to Lindsay's guitar playing, it made FM.

I watched him play from first row at twitter center in nj with fleetwood Mac and he is the best I have ever seen live, and I have gone to a shit load of concerts mostly at the old Philadelphia Spectrum.

Just recently saw Lindsey a couple months ago on this tour, it was just him but you could see his tech from the side of the stage passing him a new guitar like every song so it's funny to get a look at what was really going on back there lol he had fantastic tone though, great solo stuff he's come out with!

Fleetwood Mac isn't in my CD player and I'm not a mega fan of Lindsey, being a metalhead/lover of jazz fusion...but damn those Rick Turners are interesting guitars. Way ahead of their time. They remind me of a super high end boutique experimental piece from a premium luthier in the 2010s

yeah I saw it, but there is nothing at all about Jack's equipment, only that segment where he builds simplified guitar. and The Edge just explains the way he came up with elevation riff. although that movie was a great inspiration to me

I think it's amazing that Lindsey doesn't use this big pedalboards. The fact that guys from the 70's basically got all their skills from playing with the guitar tones.

Pretty funny how they skipped the Gibson Chet Atkins Cutaway Electric Classical guitar that he uses on "Big Love". Rick Turner sponsored the video, so I can see why they skipped it, but the Chet Atkins is no longer in production. Rick is a super cool guy and I believe his Renaissance guitars are way better than the Gibson Chet Atkins guitars, both electronically and physically.

To the audience it sounds perfect and consistent. The DD-3 is a very solid pedal. The same could be said with the GR-50 synths. Pretty antiquated compared to the VG-99 & GR-55. It's just solid, tried and true reliable gear. Thank god Linds keeps it down to earth, well, except for the Turners! :)

it's interesting after watching several of these, that when asked what do all the knobs on the guitar do? the tech will say, they're all by-passed, all that's working is volume and tone... Hmmm, might be a reason there.

Yessir. Preamp from a Sony TC630 to be exact. Switched to the first Mesa Boogie MKI / II in the late 70s with the Hiwatt cabs and there was a time where he was using Marshall heads with the Hiwatt cabs. Some ppl here are giving him a hard time for using Mesa's even with just a clean tone, though those Mesa's are LOUD with a massive amount of headroom. You don't get that with many other amps.

I would have loved the explanation on why the knobs on the Boss overdrive have a spring zip tied connecting the center and right knob... almost as if one will adjust the other if turned

He has a habit of dragging the cable over the knobs and screwing up the settings. . I do this to keep the knobs from moving. I adjust the the output on only one song to get more gain. So,, Hope this answers your question.

most musicians do overkill. (EX: as a METAL guitarist, I never ever EVER use any amps. I go DI no matter the size of the show, and i've been doing that for 20 years. Every guitarist calls it sacrilege... until I start playing.) (And I had a headless flying V (!) long before Strandberg... cuz MORE EFFICIENT.) (EX: as a drummer, I've toured the world...with my kit... IN MY SHOULDER BAG!! I used a Roland drumpad with 6 rubber squares which I only play with two arms, no legs. AT FIRST, every drummer scoffs...until I start playing! Sounds incredible! Again, no amps. DI. Takes me 13 seconds to set my drumkit up!)
