This video was so much more useful than most videos about this pedal.

I have one and love it. Honestly it’s all I need. I spend all my time just practicing and getting better at the guitar instead of chasing tones. I might get an extra foot switch for it, as this little red box is absolutely gig worthy.

Your video sold me the pedal !! I was skeptical for the high gain tones but I have to admit that the heavy and lead are pretty convincing in your video. Great playing

I finally had a bit of time to play with my newly acquired POD Express. First things first, like in your video it sounds absolutely gorgeous. What really amazed me (almost shocking) the stock IRs are excellent. I usually make a huge step forward in tone quality when I use my favorite York Audio, ML Sound Lab and Bogren IRs. This is the first time that the stock IRs of a device defeat my reference IRs. And like in your video, it is really painful to use the Alt button combinations to change parameters, I don’t know how many time I added delay instead of Bass. Sometimes I experienced bugs. I decided to keep the pedal, even if I have plenty of gear. It reminded me of my childhood with the POD 2.0 I hope Line 6 will release an editor and allow us to use the alternative commands by pressing only once the alt button (not maintaining it pressed). I would have never bought this pedal without your video. Cheers from Germany !!!

Thx for the demo/review. Would love to hear your thoughts on the Pod Express vs Hotone Ampero Mini ... like ease of use, tones, quality of effects, tune-ability, strengths/weaknesses. TIA.

Ease of use goes to the POD for sure, you'll learn everything it has to offer in an afternoon. Ampero Mini is more versatile, but it takes longer to learn as a trade-off. You can get fantastic tones out of either. If you're the type to deep-dive into dialling in a tone to get it perfect, get the Ampero. If you're happy to get 95% of the way there and save yourself the tweaking, POD is likely a better option. Personally if it was for a practice rig, I'd grab the POD. If it was for live use, I'd get the Ampero. I don't think I'd pick either of them for recording purposes, given the versatility of plugins and software.

Seems to pack quite a punch for such an affordable unit. Line 6 are packing features, once again

I’m so on the fence for one of these … still not sure since I love combining the noodle gadgets with my Overdrive pedals and the Loop on the BOSS IR-2 is a huge feature to consider, but then again the pod express has most features one could need for noodles… I don’t know

Boss IR-2 seems like a cool bit of kit too - definitely integrates with a pedalboard better than the POD

I went with a Superblock UK over this. If I wanted something like this, I'd get something else that was like this. Great video though. Probably my favorite pod express video yet.

I’d say you could coax a bass tone out of this without too much trouble - you’d have to turn the cabinet off, and probably stick to the clean amp, but it should be a usable tone in a pinch.
