When you're line marking on concrete one thing you should always do is prep the ground properly. But what does that actually mean?
I always work in this order:
1. star with drying the ground. Concrete is naturally porous and so water and moisture will easily seep in and rise as soon as the temperature changes. This will ruin your lines if you don't get it out first.
2. Grind or shot blast the surface. I know it's time consuming, but if you don't, your lines are not going to last.
3. blow down / vacuum / clean and debris left behind. Nothing worse than drying and grinding, only to leave contaminants on the floor whic impede the lines adhering
4. apply a primer (depending on the product) or go straight down with you paint
