Just a quick video for a few friends who were looking for information on lining a stainless steel cookie cutter mold to cast glass in the microwave kiln.
Edit:
The purpose of the video is just to show how to line the mold but since I went on to show the example I will add a bit more information here. If you are wondering why I didn't share a "schedule" it's because, as you know, firing in a MWK has far too many variables and what is good for one person won't work at all for another. When casting with scraps, you will fire at 100%, no matter what your oven wattage. As soon as you see the glow, start checking progress. Check every minute at first and then every 30 seconds when it's almost where you want to stop. In this small kiln in a 1100W oven it took mine around 7 minutes to drop and level the glass.
