I live in Poland. I also had Linkin Park posters on the wall. Those were the times when almost all my friends had them. We dressed like Chester and Mike. Eyebrow piercings. We met at our friends' house and listened to this brilliant album. This happened at a time when my country was just getting back on its feet. Just 10 years earlier we were behind the Iron Curtain... Beginnings of the Internet, cable television (VIVA, MTV). Western culture and music was finally available and... oh God, how it changed us - young people. It shaped our generation and left a colossal impact on our minds. These times, although difficult, were magical for me and my generation. It was a time of change, the beginning of "something new", a breakthrough in music, technology and media. There was so much going on at that time

‘By myself’ brings me nostalgia from a few years ago riding in the car with my sibling whom i still talked to back then. Her happy with her linkin park hoodie and me happy to be in the car at night going through the lit city with pretty lights and elegant decorations. Just me liking the beautiful music. Now i actually listen to this and she no longer even talks to me or looks at me that often.
