It’s not replacing Chester it’s about making him proud

@@dilloncraig5525 no it isn’t about making him proud. He’s not here, not on the planet anymore and that was his decision. It’s about a band moving forward and it’s their choice. No one else’s.

No. Because they weren't replacing Chester at all.

Sorry, no one can replace Chester..but unfortunately Chester wasn't like Kurt Cobain who took everything to his funeral. Linkin Park would still have their signature sound even without Chester.

It's been 7 years. There's no reason the rest of the band should give up on it tbh. It wasn't just Chesters band. Maybe it would have been nice to let the mum know.

Mike aint been insensitive and sadly chester mom gotta understand that it wasnt only chester bad and chesters songs, mike also had big play on those songs and was basically the one that started the band

Mike also had to deal with the grief and depression while going through Chester's passing. That's what we need to remember, and the whole band was in a very cold spot when Chester passed since they all were grieving and checking in on each other to see if they were gonna be okay. I'm just glad to have something I lost for 7 years finally come back, and this is something that is meant to take time. I'm just wanting to watch this new flower slowly start to bloom into the new era. Not new version since this is a continuation from where we left off. Everything must come to an end, but that end means a new beginning will come ♥️

It was Mike's band before Chester joined. He has the right to carry on his band. They could have given the family a heads up though.

It wasn't Mike's band; Linkin Park didn't exist until Warner offered Chester a contract. They wanted to sign only him and leave the others out, but Chester refused the offer unless they signed the whole band. After that, they named the band Linkin Park

@@JunLuden The band went by a different name before Chester with a different main vocalist. The band existed before Chester, & it is Mike's band too. He shouldn't have to give it up because some toxic fans are mad.

@@reka7_75 wrong, Linkin Park only exists because Warner wanted to sign Chester. Without Chester, objectively, Linkin Park would have never existed. They would have remained Hybrid Theory, and they probably wouldn't exist today, nor would they have gotten a record deal with anyone. We wouldn't even be talking about this

Chester's family has no say in what the band does sorry but that's a fact. Even if the band had told her hey we as a band have decided to replace Chester after 7 years of not making music I guarantee you Chester's mom would have still posted stating the same thing the band has betrayed us unfortunately its what mothers are like

Doesn't matter. Chester's mom is being stupid about it. Why do they need to check in with her before doing ANYTHING? These are grown ass adults who love playing music together. So they're supposed to just stop playing their whole catalog just because Chester isn't there anymore? That's just her being all up in her feels and not thinking reasonably.

Mike's comment is 100% legit. The band is not just Chester and while he was certainly a big part of it, it's not his family's band, and i.e. not their decision to make. The comment about the other member wanting to continue so they can make money is stupid, because that's not why they chose to do it, and I can assure you they don't need the money lmao. But it is absolutely their call to make as the remaining band members. People need to stop whining that it's selfish of them and that they're "disrespecting his family" because it's not up to his family. It's harsh but it's truth

I think Emily is great. There is not enough appreciation for what she's doing for Linkin Park she's bringing Linkin bark back to life. Emily doesn't get enough credit. If it wasn't for her there wouldn't be a Linkin park right now

Let's all remember something folks... Chester killed himself. He made a strong, conscious decision to leave his family, the band, and LIFE. I'm nowhere near LP's greatest fan, but I don't recall seeing or hearing any of Chester's family members in any videos or on any albums, so I don't see how they have any say in what the band does, or how or when it does it. Actually I believe Chester was the final piece to the band and not a founding member. Seems to me if anyone is F'ing up Chester's legacy it's his son and apparently now his mother. I think they should STFU and quietly move on with their lives if they don't like what LP is doing now. They have no say.

100% correct ! These so called “family members” are sad pathetic clowns. It’s infuriating to watch them vulture the entire situation with their blatant attempt at relevance.
