You can drag & drop items onto Hook's menu bar icon to 'hook' (bidirectionally link) them together. You can do this in one or two steps. Examples: (a) In 1 step: drag several files onto the menu bar icon, and they're hooked together! Or in 2 steps: (b) drag a web page, email, file, or other item onto the icon (that fills up the top well), and then drag & drop one or more items onto the menu bar icon (which fills up the bottom well) ; and the top item is now hooked to each of the bottom items! After dropping an item into the top well, you can cancel the linking process by clicking the "X" in the top well. After you've hooked items together via the menu bar window, and click away, the menu bar window returns to its initial state (one big linking well), so that you can hook other stuff together.
