I knew Lionel when he was in the start of his career playing fraternity houses on football weekends at Auburn and U of Alabama. I crossed paths with him again when the Commodores played the stadium at 6 Flags over Georgia. Lastly, I drove a truck on the Dancing on the Ceiling tour. Lionel is a class act and a wonderful human being. Much respect!

I saw the Commodores in Meridian, Mississippi, at the Temple Theater in the early 80s. Lord I love his voice! I commented as much on the 25th anniversary of the song for Africa We Are the World on here. He or someone said thank you. He’s a small town boy who made great! I wish he’d write and perform more now.

They were absolutely jamming together!!! That’s some good singing and a marvelous performance. Tim got some soul. Lionel is my song hero and eternally my “main man”, his genius is layered on so many levels!😊

@lionelrichie-1 I will be your fan until I no longer have breath in my body. Your voice has given me peace when my heart has been in total turmoil. 💓 Loving you is so easy for me! If my family plays music at my memorial when I'm gone, they better include your voice. Thank you for sharing your voice with those of us who were too cowardly to do the same! Loving you is so easy. God bless!

Lionel is timeless and I love that he has always stuck to bringing people together with good music. Most artists out now are ratchet and take away from the whole reason you are in this business. Music needs to go back to this right now.

I've loved Lionel R. since he was with the Commodores in the 70s, and my Daddy loved Country music and introduced us at an early age. Other great R&B singers have had at least one i.e Ray Charles, Lionel, later, the Jacksons did one on their Destiny album for their mother Katherine.

Wowwwww.....such beautiful harmony. Two very talented men. I remember listening to Lionel Richie’s music in our home since I was a child in the seventies. To me, this man looks and sounds the same now as he did back then. He must be drinking from the Fountain of Youth.
