Why is watching Lionfish hunting so relaxing? Maybe I am just marveled by the shear number of lionfish and then relieved at how easily a crowd can be dispatched?

Just moved to Puerto Rico and after a year of living here our little snorkeling reef now has lionfish. After watching several removal videos, I like your setup the most. Cool long video, only thing I wish you would have done was slow down a minute or two and pan the camera around slowly so to show the variety of other species swimming around you, it's interesting to see the different kind of fish. I'm not a diver but every once and a while I'll catch something I don't know what it is (and I've been salt water fishing my whole life, at least 50 years), for every one I catch there must be a hundred different ones I don't know about.

That's great to remove 300 plus lionfish. But to think that one female can lay 10,000 eggs that float on the current until they settle on the reef to hatch. It's an up hill battle. But, I'm glad to see divers helping out before they destroy the reef eco. Looks like you guys had a great day and that's what counts. Friend diving and pure fun doing it. DebbieeeCo You are most likely to be born with a conjoined twin then get attacked by a shark. Sharks are just interested in what you are doing but when they see a vulnerable fish at the tip of your spear they will go for it. Lion fish just like any other fish, if they see you then they'll swim away but lion fish are more cocky due to not having any natural predators
