Nice. Not much into rectangle shaped watches, but this LIP Churchill is a looker. I like the Ronda movement choice. However, all the watches I have purchased lately and in months past have sapphire or synthetic sapphire crystals, using sapphire on this watch would be a bonus. Nice review.

I found out they make an automatic with a sapphire crystal but it’s more expensive obviously

I noted years ago that men and and women of distinction and notoriety often choose the wear rectangular watches. The shape and the face of the timepiece suggests that it's owner is well-bred and well-educated.

Nice watch and review. It's a shame there aren't much offers of rectangular watches like those one from vintage catalogues from the 1940s, I also found an alternative to this one the Peugeot Contour watch (made by the watchmaker not the car maker) and I haven't seen any review of it, it's aproximately 100€ including shipping and taxes from Amazon US

That Peugeot Contour watch is interesting looking. I'll consider reviewing one.

@@JustWatches1 You will be the first one to make a review about it. Just keep in mind that there are two models one with arabic numerals which is the closest to the LIP and one with roman numerals which is the female version.

I agree, the watch would benefit from the use of a Saphire crystal. The other rectangular watches shown are nice although I'm not a fan of Roman Numerals. I've heard the Bezel is sourced from China on this watch, a shame as I feel it distracts from a company who's suppose to be focusing on French production.

There is an error, the lug to lug is only 39 mm it seems to me.

Rectangulars are always unique. A class on their own, get you somehow "out of the box" (pun intended). Like the very slim crown. Cheers Jason, be well mate.

The Lip T18 was the best one that they made. I have bought several vintage ones from auctions in Australia, and now have to find a competent watchmaker. They don't make them like this any longer.

I like it. It reminds me a bit of a Victorinox Tank I bought many years ago.

Yeah it’s a fun one. Never really considered a tank style watch but I can see the appeal!

I have one of these. Its beautiful, but there is no Besancon, France on the dial. Why?

So, I know Seiko makes watches in multiple factories, and only the Japan factory puts made in Japan on the dial. It is possible LIP is the same? I'm not sure!

Thank you for this review. I am mad about rectangular watches but I never heard about this brand. On the manufacturer's site I found a slighly bigger model. The T24 having 42 x 24 mm; thickness (including glass) 9.2 mm; band with 20mm. Movement quartz analog MIYOTA 1L40; battery type 377. All this at the same price with T18. Unfortunately mineral crystall glass, too. That 20mm lug with is a decisive parameter for me. I put the trigger on this watch with medium blue strap. Thank you again.

I also have a 6.75" wrist and feel it looks excellent and I'm very anti-large watch. Typically I wear nothing larger than 36mm in a round watch. That said, it's your money and wrist.
