Great information. Just getting a slide in for my F350 and good to know on the spring tie downs in front. Just makes sense. Thanks for making the video!

Really glad it helped. Saw a lot of reviews on these with people complaining of them busting up while in use, and it was because the dampened ones were up front and the spring loaded ones on the back. But i didnt see any KZitem videos on it explaining the difference.

Sorry if i missed this, but i just installed mine and the directions said to put the threaded hooks down, barrel side up.

If they are Happijac turnbuckles the threaded rod is on the top, just as he has them.

You think it be ok to use heavy duty ratchet straps

Its recommended not to do that. They have no flex and rip out the tie down points. Now you may have to temp do that when you first purchase one used or something, but its iffy.

Spring loaded for the back if you mount to the bumper. ( the set up you have here is correct as you have a frame mounted system at all 4 points )

is there a camper size or load rating for the Lippert system. We have an older 10ft that is quite heavy on a 1 ton diesel.

They use them for any size and manufacture of slide in campers. The bigger issue is overtightening and pulling out the camper tie down points. you need some flex in the system.
