The keyboard and the violin are beautiful together, they sound like one instrument, but I can hear the individual touch of each player simultaneously especially on the third song. Great stuff.

And THIS right here is a perfect example of why *music* is the one truly universal language! You don't even have to understand the lyrics to totally enjoy the beautifully unique and harmonic sounds that this band produces together. This was awesome!... And totally different than anything else I've ever heard before! Love it! KEXP is definitely one of the very best and most worthwhile KZitem channels! :)

@@jamesmcgee4818 No clue! It's very warm though, with the shallow depth of field, and an almost-but-not-quite soft focus. It has a vintage feel, but I doubt that it is.

I've found that music is often "better" if you don't understand the lyrics/language. The voice becomes an instrument, the words a rhythm, and the music is front and center.

This is beautiful, I've never heard of Liraz Charhi before today but I am very glad to have learned about her music & her story. I highly recommend reading about her album involving music recorded by musicians in Iran who had to be credited under assumed names to avoid government backlash because it is forbidden for such a collaboration to happen. Very interesting & inspiring, very beautiful music.

Damn, this is so good. So many bands around that could try their whole lives and never get it this tight and clean. They seem like they do it with no effort, beautiful stuff. Gotta give credit for the people that run sound though too of course! Great room, great sound 😊

You should check band Boom Pam. This guitar player and girl on the keys are the same. They have similar repertoire as Altın Gün. But this here is Israeli and Iranian style, differnt from Turkish. kzitem.info/news/bejne/soGJraNos3h4i3Y

Well the Altin Gun sound is the Turkish psych sound or Anatolian rock. Check out Selda, 3 Hur El, Cem Karaca etc. They got it from them.

@@dannyapeshit Yes, this Boom Pam played with Selda. But they also play some Greek and Israeli songs, not just Anatolian rock. You forgot Erkin Koray and Bariş Manço from Turkey. :)
