lol 🤣 I kind of know of her just not familiar with her work. The only rapper i ever really listened to back in the day was Eminem. And that was way back in the early 2000's -Dave

When u asked "what's with the books" it was actually a reference to back in the day practices of women! The books were a direct reference to etiquette classes. Back in the day, women were expected to learn how to behave "womanly" or "properly". The book part refers to posture teaching. The idea is to balance books on your head in order for you to improve your posture because they'd fall if your posture is not "of a woman". You know the whole "women are not supposed to slouch or have a posture of a man" toxic way of thinking. So yea, they just put a twist on it. Also, Great reaction!

Thank you for the feedback. Amazing to think how things used to be back then. As you say things were very toxic and i suppose in some ways still are to this very day ;( -Dave

Little Mix's live performances are no joke! They always put on a show! When it comes to acapella and acoustic performances, they always kill it! Please do check out all of their Brits performances.

There's actually way more to the MV! :) This is a comment by @Workout Balala who explains it really nicely + I added some bits here and there - I put a plus at the beginnings so you know what's mine, even though it doesn't matter at all, I just need to be extra. :D And please excuse any grammar errors, I'm not a native English speaker. :) oh, and sorry it's so long! In the van (First scene): The girls being told that showing women empowerment and fighting for equality is wrong. But they’re dressed in all black to show that, even if they’re dressed in basic and plain clothes, they can still slay and be powerful. (+ it also shows that women were often criticized for being themselves) Outside the van (Especially dancing on the roof of it): They’re showcasing their individuality and proving that they’ll fight back against anything that comes their way. In the library (Books on their heads): They’re being taught how to be a ‘lady’ and shown how women should act. Posture, perfect form, etc. 0:57: I see this as them walking on a ruler, showing the measures of society and how people believe they should act...And they just strut right on over it. (+ you can't measure or weigh women's worth) The weighing scales: Showing equality for women. They’re all dressed in bright colors showing how women should own just as much of the spotlight as men. (+ Jade and Leigh-Anne are wearing typical gender colors - pink and blue - and they are sitting under the scales whilst Jesy and Perrie are wearing neutral colors and they are on the scales. It shows that we shouldn't be measured by our gender) Dining table: Being taught how to eat like a ‘lady’. (+ notice their plates are empty and they're basically eating thin air. Women are often criticized for what they eat and how they eat.) There are their individual scenes where they do the chores, showing how some believe women should stay at home and work instead of going out to do work. Chair dance scene: Them sitting in an ‘unladylike’ manner and being corrected to sitting ‘properly’ The scene where they’re eating burgers is seen as less ladylike but it shows that women shouldn’t care about what others think. If you want a burger, go get your mother f*cking burger. Scenes where they fail at their chores: Women weren’t put on this earth to do these tasks and some will be better than others but at the end of the day we are all equal. (Nicki Manaj scene shows them looking up to a powerful woman who just doesn’t care and she teaches them to be the same)

Also, the scales represent the inequality between the treatment of white women and women of colour. That's why Perrie and Jessy are standing on the scales and Jade and Leigh-Anne are seated down below.
