Less than a week ago, I got a hankering to listen to a whole raft of Little Richard tunes. I typed that comment just above this one six days prior. Today, we found out that heaven's chariots of fire finally came and took King Richard home. Portents and signs. My sixth sense was clearly tingling. I'm sure Richard would agree. Rest in genuine happiness and with satisfaction that you've done all you could with what you had, Richard. You've truly magnified your calling.

Little Richard is the ultimate rock 'n' roll performer. He has more rhythm in his fingers than most people have in their whole bodies. Yet for years he has performed as a burlesque artist. As long ag as 1972 at Wembley he was booed by large sections of his own fans when, instead of singing, he stood on the piano performing a kind of striptease. It did not go down well. A tragedy.

Descanse em paz Little Richard, nosso Meste, Ícone, Lenda, Pioneiro do Rock"n"Rool! Muitíssimo Obrigado Little Richard!
