Thanks for watching, Anthony. I definitely think it's important to know- I usually know ahead of time who the owner is, because I build targeted lists of who to contact. The budget would be important to talk about, but doesn't absolutely have to happen on the cold call. I should at least know the general size of their company, so that I at least have an idea of what they can afford. Thanks for the comment, and make sure you're subscribed.

Thank you charlie, this gives me great perspective for doing the same thing. Also how do you think having a updated website leads to more clients potentially? I mean the one from 2013 might be 3-4 years old but it still functions properly, also what are some common objections? What do you say?
@charlielight7938
7 жыл бұрын
Good question. Just being an old site doesn't make it bad. But if the design is outdated or non-user friendly, you could certainly improve the company's conversion % by using a better design, better UX, and plugins that increase conversions, like live chat or coupon code popups. Some common initial objections are "we aren't interested" and "we already work with someone". The best way to overcome these is to remain positive and dig for more information, so you can find the :real objection (often people will say something just to get you off the phone, even if it's not their true main concern) and start to build a relationship with them.

Ho Charlie, im big believer of tough love. You said this was a "solid" call but i think you're kidding yourself bro. This was just 2 nice guys talking and agreeing on the polite "I'm not interested" universal email fob off. I think you should have sound way more enthusiastic, knowledgeable and that you should have built up way more value in your service and product offering. As a freelance virtual sales agent i would be more tham happy to talk to you more about this and even demonstrate it with tangible results if you liked? Thanks R

Michael Adams the number of calls depends on what I'm trying to accomplish. If your only job is to make sales, I would be making 100+ calls per day until you're booked full with appointments. @CharlieLight

Yes, I would definitely share pricing if they ask. Nothing worse than making the prospect think you are hiding something by not giving clear information. I usually say something like "most of our clients spend between $500 and $1,500 a month- it just really depends on what you would need us to do"
@wasimminhaz879

@CharlieLight
7 жыл бұрын
You have to be confident and have certainty in the deal you are offering - if the deal your propose is clear-cut and interesting to the prospect, they're not super likely to ask for reference or past work (it's actually usually an objection made by an uncertain prospect and not a necessary step in the road to the sale). Alternatively, you can do some work for family or friends' businesses initially to create your first few case studies.

Bern-z les Pere that's a good question. We are a web designing and development company located in Kathmandu, Nepal. We sell our services in US and we have been in sales for 2 months I often come across such objections including the fact that they suspect of scammers but here is I overcome this. I follow a consultant's approach. So I tell them that me as an entrepreneur want to help them as an entrepreneur and I want to give them free advice and it's their call if they want their current provider to help them with it or I will be more than happy to. The technique works like charm to an extent that they feel comfortable sharing their card details for payment. If you want to know email me at govind@floydconsultancy.com. I will share you the strategy in details.

Hoomin Beeing you're correct. I treat them like they are the decision maker. Give them the pitch and if they see value or know the company needs your service, s/he will help you out and point you in the right direction.

So you'll basically pitch them? What if you don't know their name and it isn't posted on their website? Thanks, most b2b sales will have you met with a receptionist or something so that is definitely useful to keep in mind.
