CUA Professor Matthew Green joins News Nightly to discuss his thoughts on last night's Iowa results, considering this was the lowest Caucus turnout in 24 years. Later he explains the differences between the Iowa Caucuses and a New Hampshire primary, in terms of style of vote and who constitutes those votes. Congress has only four days to avoid a partial government shutdown. House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced a new deal to keep some federal departments open. Bishop Kevin Rhoades from the diocese of Fort Wayne- South Bend, Indiana and new Chairman of the USCCB Religious Liberty Committee, discusses why he and his brother Bishops decided to release a report on religious freedom. He later discusses Pope Francis's remarks on gender ideology and if the report will address this. In other news, Pope Francis responded publicly to questions about the Vatican's declaration on blessings for same-sex couples for the first time in a television interview on Sunday night. Pope Francis later touched on the possibility of a trip to his home country of Argentina, EWTN News Vatican Correspondent Colm Flynn reports.
