From a master manipulator who thought she could do and get anything she wanted- to a now a convicted woman for believing she was above the law. Sadly, a child will now be without her father and mother, and his older daughter to process the horrific memory of her beloved father being taken from her in a horrendous way. If it's any consolation, the Black Swan has been found out and the world sees her for who she is- which is a woman who remains cold as ice, who even through the verdict reading showed zero remorse or emotion. If anything she looks angry that things didn't go her way, period. No tears even though her request for bond was denied either.

Whatever the verdict, one only has to look at the face of Doug Benefields daughter to see who are the losers here . Two daughters who have lost their father. The older daughter has lost both her parents , and has a half sister whom I am sure she barely knows. There is a saying, marry in haste, repent at leisure. I believe Ashley wanted a child, she saw a man who was wealthy, successful. He had not given himself time to mourn his 1st wife and had his head turned by a much younger woman. I am not impressed by the way the defence has denigrated his character when he is not here to defend himself. Let us hope that his loved ones, and especially his daughters will heal. I hope that Ashley Benefield and her Mother will not turn the child against her Fathers memory and his family members, and most especially her older sister. Prayers for those daughters.

Manslaughter is a far lesser charge which is a point many of you are missing. She admitted killing him but they have clearly believed her on provocation. The sentence will be less than murder. Watching this I wish to make a note regarding polls that the TV audience were asked to take part in. This is downright unseemly and has no place anywhere. That is why they have a jury. It is not the court of public opinion as so many of you think it is with social media. You reduce a serious matter to triviality.

I thought first degree , but second degree would have been correct too. Manslaughter is a bit light, but now it is in the hands on the judge up to 30 years. and sentence are for rehabilitation to society, so anything from 10 to 30 years sound alright. Still double standard in my opinion though , role reversed A guy would have been charged with first degree and might have got life sentence. Don't know if they could get second degree as a lesser in this hypothetical. More like comparing the trial of "Nicolae Miu Wisconsin River Stabbings"

She worked hard to destroy the man, filing injunctions in 3 states when the man wasn't living with her for over 3 years, false criminal allegations & many false protection orders - that were all denied, finally the man got visitation with his already 6 month old baby (that she wouldn't even put his name on birth certificate), then false allegations or SA against the baby daughter, all proven untrue, she said she was going to take the law into her own hands, & she did, she murdered him. Should have been 1st degree murder for the plan itself & she invited the man over to kill him. She deserves the maximum sentence for manslaughter - the man was unarmed, they didn't live together in 3+ years, no DV EVER - she failed at stand your ground because she invited over, then shot him while he had his back to her. This lady deserves the longest sentence available!

I am thrilled for Doug Benefield's daughter, Eva Benefield, and the extended family of Doug Benefield that call Ashley Benefield, was found guilty of manslaughter for the death of Doug Benefield. Regardless whether or not, Doug Benefield was abusing Ashley Benefield, and regardless that she and Doug Benefield were separated, but on that unfortunate day that, Ashley Benefield, lured, Doug Benefield, to the house where she was staying at that particular time for the sole purpose that she had premeditated to end duck benefield's life. There isn't a perfect marriage between his or her spouse's. Everyone does have disagreements disagreements in every marriage. There isn't not one of us whom are perfect, as we do have our differences, and we do not always agree with the other person or persons whom we may be interacting with. Doug Benefield was unarmed, and he did not have a gun on him, as it was, Ashley Benefield, home had a gun on her, and it was she whom had Doug Benefield to come to the house where she had been living with her mother at that particular time. Duck Benefield, had just lost his wife due to her having passed away 9 months earlier Karma and it was within a few months after his wife had died say he was looking for someone else, except that, Doug Benefield, being 30 years older than Ashley, as she was 24 years old at the time that she murdered, Doug Benefield. If the only mistake that Doug Benefield made, it was that he moved on not long after his wife had died, and he did not allow himself valued time to mourn his wife's death, and to completely be there for his elder daughter, as she had just lost her mother due to her death. Neither and his daughter needed much time to adequately 10 time together by themselves, as any child whom loses a parent karma is Doug benefield's daughter lost her mother do to her death, and especially she needed her father's attention without her father bringing a girlfriend into their home come not long after Mrs Benefield having just died 9 months earlier. Doug Benefield, was in a vulnerable place due to his wife's death, and he was overwhelmed with the passing of his wife that he did not realize that he needed to completely without interruption be there for his daughter before he moved on to someone else. Also, Doug Benefield was old enough to be Ashley's father, that Ashley was closer to his daughter's age, and naturally there would be some tension between duck benefield's daughter and Ashley. After all, Ashley and Doug had just known one another for 13 days Karma and then, ashley, moves into, Doug benefield's, home. How can one know someone within a 13 day period? It is impossible that within 13 days that, Doug benefield, knew Ashley very well. Ashley Benefield was impressed with, Doug benefield's money, and she was not in love with Doug Benefield, as she did not have the same feelings for Doug Benefield karma is Doug Benefield had genuine love for Ashley. Ashley Benefield, to get vintage of a kind Karma and hard-working man. She used him up financially, and drained his bank account of his hard-earned money, she talked Doug Benefield into reversing his vasectomy, because she wanted to have a baby of her own. The only mistake that Doug Benefield made, that he fell in love with a 30 year younger woman, which he could have been her father. Doug Benefield been 30 years older than Ashley, as one would think did a much older man or woman would be naturally more mature then a much younger individual, but Doug Benefield, was in a vulnerable place due to his wife's death. Ashley Benefield took advantage of a good man, and she intentionally used him up come and during their marriage call Ashley Benefield was making her plans to defame Doug benefield's character, except that she was not expecting that the lies that she was telling to people around town, and the many stories that Ashley Benefield was telling her stories to the police officers,, that the police department would conduct a investigation in regards to her claims of physical abuse. Ashley Benefield was not counting on the police department after having conducted a thorough investigation set her claims of Doug Benefield physically abusing her would find him having not abused her. Ashley Benefield was on a mission to defame a innocent man, and to ruin his character, because Ashley is a selfish, and heartless human being Ashley Benefield, decided that she was going to manipulate Doug Benefield, and manipulate the marriage in order to take advantage of an innocent man, because she was very impressed with the fact that Doug Benefield had money, and she with have the monetary privileges of having a better life, because it would have been Doug Benefield whom would have graciously been more happy to shower his love with Ashley, except that Doug Benefield did not realize that the feelings of love that he had for Ashley, she was not in love with him, she was just impressed with the fact that he had money, and she took advantage of a good man, and an innocent man. Now that Ashley Benefield has been found guilty of manslaughter for the death of Doug Benefield, Maybe Doug banfield's daughter Will foul papers in civil court for a wrongful death of her father, and maybe the money that would be awarded to her by a civil courts judge will be enough money for her to be able to meet her day-to-day needs whether it be that she may need counseling herself, and she may have other needs that she needed money from a civil wrongful death suit, for the death of her father. Wale Ashley Benefield has been able to murder Doug Benefield, to take Doug banfield's daughter away from her father common and she has managed to emotionally damaged the little baby girl that not only Ashley brought into this world, but Doug Benefield, also fathered. Doug benefield's daughter will have a long road ahead of her, that she will have to overcome both of her parents deaths. This situation regarding Doug Benefield and Ashley Benefield, should be an example to other men / women that it is not a good idea to start a relationship with a much younger individual call my dad to be on the safe side, And in regards to the age difference, and the maturity level, let it be a good example for men / women to be careful before getting involved with someone whom may not be mentally and emotionally mature for such a serious relationship. Not everyone is in a relationship, because he or she is in love, there are many cases where there are some individuals whom are capable of taking advantage of another person. Ashley Benefield may have committed murder of Doug Benefield, but Ashley Benefield has managed to emotionally damaged drug benefield's daughter from his marriage with his deceased wife, and as well call Ashley has managed two emotionally destroy a baby girl, because she will grow up wondering who her father is, except that all a long, Ashley's mother will spend her time throughout this beautiful baby Girl's Life lying to her granddaughter, rather than telling the truth about her father, because Ashley's mother will be on her mission to defame Doug Benefield common and then one more time, and in Doug benefield's death, between Ashley and her mother, they will continue to victimize this little girl home will grow up with out her father, and she will not know the truth that her own mother murdered her father. Oh when this little girl grows up, and becomes a young woman herself, Emerson, will do her own research to find the truth, to find her identity, and where she belongs in this world.

I really believe in my heart that she was not guilty. Understand by the law when someone it can be charged with manslaughter. But I think since that day when she shot him. She has never done any other crime and always have been a good mother. So I think the judge sentences her she should not get no more than months in prison. Once again I want to say she's a young girl she's a young lady that has no criminal record admitting that she did shoot him after she did. She could have done it and got up and left in her car with her child and left. But she didn't because it was nothing to do about wanting to kill him was about wanting to protect herself and her child. Sometimes families don't want to believe that a member of your family could not be a good person that could be a violent person that could be an abusive person. I'm sorry the older daughter's mom undiagnosed heart condition. If her mom had a heart condition but nobody has ever tried to figure out if there could be another reason why she had the heart problem. Once again I'm going to say that I think that she's not guilty to intentionally killing her husband. So my prayer for her that she gets a very low sentencing whatever that may be. And that all the family members on each side can come together including Ashley to heal together.
