This group has spoiled me for me ever needing to plug any other combo or soloists. Besides the limitless inventiveness, infinite chops, and fabulous song choices, one doesn’t find this amount of joy anywhere else on the dial. There is no deadpan, technical, self conscious, perhaps mathematically correct, but frankly boring jive going on here. This is always a rocking, ecstatic party every time I tune in. Can’t say enough.

Richard, you got it in one. The word "joyous" says it all. Along with "melodic" and "wide" and ... lots more... Wow. I discovered EC and his trio (and guests!) about an hour ago. And I have been listening transfixed, sent a link to my sister (a pianist) and pretty much said what you did. To hear a young jazz pianist with a head full of the best of "old" is just wonderful. OK, old guy rambling over. The smiling is not 👍🎵❤

Emmet remnds me of me 40 some years ago. I chose a career other than music. @ 64 y/o, retired & once again with my original piano since 8 years old; nothing like that piano (Howard by Baldwin studio piano) I loved my whole life. Emmet enjoy your uploads.

Heard Cyrille in Boulder, CO this summer at a pop up driveway concert with wonderful Boulder musicians, can you imagine my luck? Looking for more online brought me here. Now obsessed with shows from Emmet's place. World class talent!

I've seen her in New Orleans and in St Louis. The New Orleans one was just her with a pianist. People were watching from outside the tiny bar and the inside was PACKED.

@@halcyonacoustic7366 The outdoor show I saw was in the thick of the Covid crisis/isolation, June or July of 2020. Zero live music for months on end, I would have been thrilled just to hear a 1st year middle school marching band rehearse! There was a neighborhood email notice about an afternoon outdoor jazz show in someone's front yard and I knew the local players mentioned were top notch. Social distancing and masks required, free but tips welcome for the musicians. Cyrille's name sounded vaguely familiar, so I decided to bring a lawn chair and check it out. I remember the FIRST NOTES out of her mouth (Foggy Day in London Town) and I froze, stunned at her tone, confident this show was going to be FANTASTIC. It was beyond amazing. You could hear a pin drop on this neighborhood street. I think she was thrilled to be playing as well which may have added to the energy. Let's just say I'll never forget that show.

I heard her multiple times in New York and northern New Jersey when she was living in Brooklyn, including at NJPAC the year she took the Sassy Award. Spectacular talent. Brooklyn's loss is NO's gain. Looking forward to seeing her at her next NY gig if I can make it.
