Rudiments make you solid, taking away the urge to overplay which most drummers do nowadays, and I think Victor understands this perfectly. Playing to excite people is not the goal. Secondly, every musician knows what he requires from his band, and following Pastor Nathaniel Bassey for over 10 years now, I think he prefers simplicity in his music, which when you listen to carefully, is deeper than the sound others produce. Whether you are moved by it is the Holy spirit's job to do. 😊
