The dislikes here are likely coming from people who accidentally stumbled across this KZitem presentation, took a brief look at it out of a mix of bafflement, incomprehension and curiosity - and found the sight and sound of it unintelligible to their ears. Imagine how you'd react to this if the only music you've been exposed to and listened to your entire life is pop and rap music. This would be perceived as Alien Music from Mars, played by Humanoid Martians. I fear that the ranks of those of us who have been exposed to and have come to know, appreciate and love this kind of music are thinning rapidly, and aren't being reinforced with newcomers. Thank goodness for these KZitem presentations - they ARE exposing new ears to this kind of music - it so richly deserves to be preserved for the enjoyment of future generations.

There is something about Germany..........beautiful organ music!!!! 3:07 why didn't the assistant operate the stops? It is obviously much easier to turn the page using a tablet. Wonderful pedal organ! Good acoustics too. Some churches reverberate too much. Excellent recording! Hervorragend Herr Kappelmeister!!

Eight weeks up and closing in on 20k views. Props and mad respect. Such prolific output is blowing me away. And all my favourite era of music. Sorry not to be able to see the feet on the opening of the Bach D+. But at least we can see you coping with the short octave arrangement. More respect. The octave writing at the beginning of the G+ Sonata seems to me to be an invitation to use a gap registration (RH 8 and 2 against LH 8 and 4) so the two parts combine into something new and different rather than duplicate each other.

Wonderful playing! It looks like you are playing the prelude and fugue in D in the key of C instead? I noticed the pitch difference at the beginning. Or is that just the tuning of the organ? It's still one of my favorites to hear by Bach. :-)

When you get right down to it, the function these particular knobs serve is rather hard to confuse with others. Each knob reflects the pride put into the making and voicing of the stop it represents. Taken together, they make an imposing team! They are a road map to a sound landscape.

In the second volume of "Orgelmusik im Gottesdienst" (Hinrichsen 2006b) is stated that the fugue (3rd section) with the conclusion (last section) is by František Xaver Brixi (1732-1771), important classical Czech composer. Is it correct to say that?
