What about an update with Joe Rentmeester?!?! I know that Joe was getting sick of folks taking advantage of his videos and following him on the properties he was on. I enjoyed his ethics and style.🦌🇺🇸🙏

In my younger years, I bow hunted a lot. I found myself getting wrapped up in the gear. I was taking so much stuff with me. It was insane! Then I was putting a ton of pressure on myself and comparing myself to other people. It got to the point that it wasn't fun anymore! My wife and I had kids so I took about 14 years off cause I had to give something up and bowhunting is what I chose. Last year I got back into bowhunting. I have a minimal amount of gear and couldn't be happier hunting. I haven't shot anything yet but I am enjoying just being back in the woods!

I have been looking for big tracks ever since I read an article about the Curt Van Lith buck (1986) from Minnesota. In the article, Curt suggested that his first inkling that a big buck was in the area was the enormous size of the tracks he found. I don't use trail cameras, so I am always looking for big rubs and big tracks. I think that having no idea what is out there - no pictures - keeps me fired up whenever I hear a twig snap. It could be Bambi's dad! Great and very interesting episode. Thanks Dan, Jeremy, and Joe.

Did Joe ever say how many pounds his recurve is? Curious on his recurve specs and arrow set up? Great show. Joe would flip if he shot a Black Widow.

My friend in Missouri used to make his own bows from hedge, his own arrows, and stone arrowhead tips. And he'd kill with his setup. Unfortunately his son was killed overseas serving our country, he got divorced and I'd say went back to Alaska where he was from. He was a hell of an outdoosman.

Nothing beats hunting and fishing for survival, back when it wasn't Kool, I used a unkool bear blacktail compound that I got second hand for fifty bucks when fifty dollars was a lot of money. I gave that bow up in 2006 ,24 years and that bow was like my right arm. It killed deer and most guys thought of me as stupid as they had 2k into their equipment. Nice to hear real people talk and it's not about the latest and greatest!!!!! Grumpy has haters
