Brian Garris' vocals are absolutely the selling point of Knocked Loose for me. He reminds me a lot of Daryl Taberski from Snapcase. The latest single goes so hard, def looking forward to the LP.

The range that modern Japanese bands have is likely due to old Visual Kei bands. I mean, Kyo from Dir en Grey has to have been a major inspiration for so many of these younger bands and vocalists. It's like when you see all the inspiration from the 90's/early 2000's visual kei bands that is straight up from X-Japan and Buck-Tick. The Japanese music scene is incredible because they take what they like from all over the world and make it their own and then inspire new generations to get it moving forward even more

Bonitz said it best. There are live and techniques. You can do some straining shit for recording cause you're just gonna be done after.

I'll be surprised if Bryan Garris's scream for the breakdown in the new song is an inhale, I've heard him do that scream live and I do a similar sounding scream that is all exhale false cord

My suggestion at 3:31:30 ! Feels good love that song (Thine King Weeps for Mercy by Netherwalker) had a lot of fun on that stream

3:04:00 that sounds exactly like abominable Putridity. A pretty popular slam band or as popular as a slam band can be which is my way of saying yeah I’m sure you got it on lockdown just the basis.

24:00 Chino from Deftones uses a ton of inhales and there's a difference between the more thin ones he uses and the more fry sounding one he uses. I've done both and the thin high ones (it has no distortion, there's no fry sound at all but it still sounds like a very high scream) don't do anything to my voice but the more fry inhales absolutely trashed my voice instantly. Trying to sing in that range that the inhale was in after doing the inhale, I couldn't at all.
