We can assume JOK's mom believes KR is guilty; I don't think we know what Paul thinks, or his dad. Leave the family only. His mom is older, she's lost two of her three children and her son in law. Try to extend them some grace. Now LE in this case and Lally? F*$k them. I can hate them for this BS investigation.

I give grace to whom I choose and I had that for them at the beginning of this trial. But then the truth came to light for me and I believe that they made their minds up, have surrounded themselves with wolves in sheep’s clothing, allowed Norfolk DA to use their name in the “re-try the case” statement and refuse to see the truth…John was not hit by a vehicle. Grace should never come before truth. I should make it clear that I do not hate them. I’m just saying that they had my respect and sympathy at the beginning but I saw the truth and now my compassion only goes so far when a wrong is being committed. I have lost many people and some to violence. I get it that one can be lost (and sometimes lost for a loooong time) but if there are contradictory facts that come to light and stare you in the face…truth must prevail, in spite of grief. If truth is pushed to the side and someone is railroaded into prison and the family’s egos are unable to say they were wrong…that’s when grace is not given from me. In general: If more people could actually be more nuanced and discerning who they give grace to, maybe others that should be held accountable would be held accountable. And yes LE is on my shiitake list! F those f’ers

Andrea looks great today! 🤫 One thing I will say is that the judge screwed AJ over by only giving him an hour for closing argument on a case that went for 8 weeks... Alan Jackson should have invested in a reasonable doubt and burden of proof chart that almost every defense attorney has somewhere in their office. Because if you don't explain to them that the state versus the defense is not a fair fight, the jury is going to by default think it's a fair fight. The jury is going to think that they are here to decide who has a better argument. But in reality they are only there to judge the sufficiency of the state's case--meanwhile the defense attorneys client is already presumed Innocent. And so the state is starting with a handicap of -100. If you don't as a defense attorney go into all of that detail about how as jurors they are reasonable people and if they can give a reason for their doubt: that's reasonable doubt!

Geeze louise people. So much lack of thought. Also, the reconstructionist wasn't coming up with a new theory or any theory. He demonstrated the force it would take to shatter the taillight and what type of object would do it. A glass thrown at 34 miles/hr at a taillight of a non-moving car, hitting it square in the centre of the taillight. SOOOOOO all of that equals NOT CONSISTENT WITH THE SCENE NOR THE EVIDENCE!! A head couldn't do it. An arm couldn't do it, and there is no evidence anyone threw a glass. In fact, only one small piece of glass was found on scene. OMG.

Paul O'Keefe made himself look like a *creep* throughout this trial. He seemed the older punk equivalent of the young punk who dragged his knuckles along the floor when he walked, Colin Albert. O'Keefe's remark at KR today was entirely predictable & preventable if Judge Cannone ran a respectable court - - a big If. Paul O'Keefe was death-staring KR throughout this trial like a surly stalker that is in no way excusable by bereavement 2 years old & his own blind judgment. His intimidating targeted demeanor was clear on court camera every day at close proximity in as close to KR's eyeline as he could get. No defendant should have to put up with that every day on top of the pressure of the trial. On closing arguments, the McCabes were seated to do the same to the jury. The courtroom should not be a medieval public stocks. Defense was amiss in not raising his relentless intimidating stare with the judge as soon as it was noticed. Even though this judge was tone deaf to fairness, it's a duty of defense as I see it & should be on record. All commentators accepted this situation because 1) the small court is designed that way: bad feng shui. 2) Deceased relatives have a right to attend trial. On evidence of the court camera, O'Keefe should have been ordered to seat himself at the other end of that row or be banned from proceedings. In any decent bar, in any pub run by a decent landlord, can you imagine a customer staring at a woman in that creepy way for hours? One way or another he would be bounced out of there & banned if not reported to the police. And so a bar has more propriety than this Canton courtroom.

This is what makes Lawyer Lee different from other content creators. so many content creators will not mess with their bank account by going against the stampede and the angry mob and take time to analytically explicate what they actually believe. So many people just don't want to lose followers it's crazy. I remember Nick Rekieta would never say ONE bad thing about Johnny Depp. And hes supposed to be an ‘objective’ legal analyst--weighing the strengths and weaknesses of each case..smdh.. Her once adoring acolytes are all heartbroken because they don't understand that in intellectual circles disagreement is not personal at all. It has nothing to do with hurling sophomoric aspersions and ad hominems in a defensive posture to further your argument. For example you'll never see Harvard lawyer Lee calling the jurors dumb even if she has a different nuanced take from them. Since she's an intellectual, she just deconstructs their argument and then she'll just compare and contrast it with her point of view and then she'll come to a resolution and then she'll just eloquently articulate that resolution in a live stream or something... Oh but not the rabid Read supporters who hate learning and love tribalism and drama...😂😂

To be fair tribalism is on both sides, you just see more on KR supporter side because more believe she's not guilty. But tribalism exists in both camps when it comes to supporters.

You do realise that ALL Americans fear learning? People who like learning find a country to live where learning is actually possible. The average IQ in the USA is 23.

Plus, the DA needs the support of the police and in this case, a cop is dead and another one was accused. He must retry her.

Great coverage Andrea! I am hearing rumors that the jury was split 10 for guilty, 2 for not guilty. And that one of those two believed she hit John but just didn't think sending Karen to prison would serve any purpose.

From the jury's statement, jurors either thought the evidence of guilt was overwhelming or insufficient. That's daming for KR.

I have a feeling that the FBI investigation is going to blow many holes in the defence’s case that the case will be dismissed and several of the witnesses will now be charged with several counts.

You forgot Higgins but since none of the evidence supports JO getting hit by the SUV but more consistent with a fight, so I recommend learning about critical thinking then come back and engage with adults.

That's what I call a preconceived notion that will not be altered by the actual evidence. Corruption is, most unfortunately, deeply embedded throughout our system. This would not be the first time a cop killed somebody outside the line of duty, and some of those victims do include fellow officers.
