There's an isolated puddle that I came across in the Clark County Wetlands Park. It was connected to the Las Vegas Wash after heavy rain last year. Then it dried up some and was separated. Small fish were trapped including livebearers like mollies and gambusia. I thought they all died off over the winter but some did make as I noticed another generation today. 2 or 3 weeks ago I saw tadpoles here for the first time and now there's tiny frogs or toads. I also discovered some snails today, which appear to be bladder snails.
