What annoys me the most about Liver King is him touting the “live primal” lifestyle, saying to eat raw meat. But like, our primal ancestors cooked their meat. Ever since we discovered fire, we would cook our meat. Cooked meat tasted better, and lasted longer. Not to mention. Our ancestors ate way more greens, berries, roots, nuts, and fruits than meat. Hunts weren’t always successful. But berry bushes don’t run away.

Plus yeah cooked meat helped our brains grow. Released some vitamins or something our brains needed. I think he means apeman or some homo species, that was primal. But were was not man yet. This was part of the business plan. A man of his age with that physic clearly looks to be on steroids or apeds. On a long enough timeline his lie would be called out. When it happens (like now) the next phase would be to name off what you're taking and dosage in hopes that a percentage of the faithful millions of followers will look past your wrong and search for these drugs.

The fitness industry as a whole needs to become way more transparent with this kind of thing. People who have been going to the gym consistently for a while typically know what is/isn't attainable naturally. This type of stuff preys on the misinformed, uneducated or inexperienced who are looking to begin their fitness journey. I'd say ~90% of what you find online is complete anecdotal bullshit with little to no scientific testing or evidence to backup what they're claiming.

If I had a giant social media following I would be scared to let down a bunch of fans too. If everyone trashes Liver King for admitting his mistake then it will discourage A LOT of other people from coming clean too which could keep pushing unrealistic body-standards Forgiving Liver King is actually what's best for the fitness community.

People like you would have found another reason to write off his apology. It doesn't matter what he does, people like you get off on condemning people for their mistakes and holding it over there heads for eternity. Humans make mistakes, condemn them for it of course but when they make the effort to right their wrongs and you still look for reasons to keep criticizing them then you need to look at yourself and think "wtf am i doing".

I mean in fairness when you have an already great physique and you push it to those limits, especially taking steroids, its body dysmorphia which falls heavily under depression and self-confidence issues. So I feel its a bit of an unfair take to bash on him for that. Was a solid part of the apology explaining where hes coming from, and why he uses the substances. I get he lied, I think anyone would know he was fake, maybe not so much teenagers which they have every right to be mad. But every single apology on the internet, no matter how good it is, still gets torn to shreds and flamed. The apologizer never stands a chance because people look at them specifically in a negative way now, so they take things wrong, stretch words, etc. I would say Liver Kings apology is actually a good one, as it was fair for all the right reasons that he did said thing. But the only action he can do now to regain any sort of trust is to pull out of selling the lie (the fake supplements and all) Thats the ultimate redemption for him. But I do hate that people attack or try to tear apart someone for having legitimate mental health issues. This aint the fake youtuber mental health problem, this dude clearly to any rational human being shows every symptom of body dysmorphia and the steroids prove it heavily. Theres also levels of pressure that definitely come being in the public eye which we can always point and judge from a standard that never experiences it too. Shouldn't have lied, caused his own problems but just some points felt a bit unfair in the video. (Also think its a bit unfair for people to be forced to break the persona they put online and show their true-selves that are never really experienced in the public eye for an apology either. It's a pretty nasty grey area for a lot of content creators, it was weird as hell when Doc Disrespect did it even, would have rathered him just stay in character for it.) As they say though, its a snowball effect, it starts out as a little ball and grows into a boulder really fast. Thats all it takes, just one lie.
