Best livescope video ever created. I can't wait to use the focus feature combined with adding that extra 10 ft of depth to max tune my rig. Screen shot those species settings with the little bonus tips per species is gonna make scope life easy. Thanks for the time and effort you spent on this. I originally wanted a dedicated battery but the salesman at Jones Trolling said I was good with my AGM 31 group I use for cranking. Maybe its time to upgrade to a 46AH lithium. Fish On!

Thanks for the info on batteries and wiring. I got into Live Scope pretty heavy, started with Echomap UHD 93SV Plotter, a GT 56 UHD Transducer, then synced a Panoptix Livescope Plus System System, a LVS 34 Tranducer, GLS 10 Black Box, a Echomap Ultra 106SV Plotter and a 126SV Plotter. All this is wired to my main battery, which I now see needs it's own power source. I now need to select Lithium batteries for my 24V trolling motor and my Garmin Sonar System. The Marine Deep Cycle batteries I'm using aren't holding up to the power drain.

I have a question about the power supplied to the GLS10 and the 93SV graph. I run Livescope on my SS107 Bonified kayak. I have connected to a Dewalt 6aH 20 volt battery. Which seems would be enough for about 4 hours. This is due to the 20 volts supply amperage at half of the rate a 12 volt supply. So I carry 2 of the Dewalt batteries for 8 hours of fishing. On my 93SV shows 18v on my graph screen. Is this adequate power for the black box and 93SV?

Are you suggesting the gls10 box & head unit have it's each own individual power or them to share power together but separate from everything else?? In my PA12 360 kayak I run a ultra 106 SV, steady cast & lvs34 on a single amped outdoors 32ah 14.8v lithium . I put my diy ammo can battery box behind my seat & have a 10awg marine wire from it inside my haul up to my front hatch where my gls10 box & power come from my other devices. I have ext same voltage at my unit & devices as directly from my battery. It's seems to work well for me. Doesn't mean it couldn't be improved on though. Like anything can be! @@The_Garmin_Guru When it comes to hunting and fishing, the easier it is to catch or harvest whatever you’re targeting takes the gratification out of it, for me anyways. Just like white tail and sika deer hunting for instance. Killing a buck in a tree stand just got routine. So while they started making them lighter and easier climbing so that know you can get to places where you wouldn’t before, I opted for ground hunting (without a blind). Even for bow hunting and when I got that first buck, it felt like it did when I got my very first buck. With bows being lighter and faster, and xbows being legal, I still hunt with my Browning bow I got in the early 90’s. I’d love to hunt with a more traditional bow, but due to breaking my neck, it’s just too painful to use. During firearms season, I hunt with a muzzleloader with traditional sights. The way I hunt now, just made me a better hunter. It’s more fun taking a harder route than an easy one, bcuz anyone can take the easy road. Yet not everyone can take the harder route. Same with fishing. Yes I have electronics, but that’s just for depth and contours. I don’t want to see how close my lure is to a fish, or which side of a structure they’re on. I can figure that out by the tide. I’d rather harvest something knowing that it has a 90% of survival, instead of a 50/50 chance.

It would be interesting to hear from an electrical engineer on wiring short runs vs long runs of 10ga wire. I just think the difference of 5ft to 15ft of wire is going to be negligable. Not trying to knock anyone but a lot of this is opinions and not science.

Agreed.
@mikeevenson4800

The longer the run regardless of gauge size the better chance of picking up interference. Also, the reason to go larger gauge, the less impedance reducing voltage drop. That said, you may not see much difference but could get interference if running the wire next to other wires powering anything with electrical motors like trolling motors and pumps. Again, not significant but possible.
