The manager is completely right to make the points he made. The reason this story is running is because it makes the point like Conte made the point that Tottenham Hotspur for the size of the club have a very poor record over the last 30 plus years. Aston Villa might be rivals for Tottenham but Arsenal have won so much next to spurs there is little comparison, that’s why this has really carried on. Tottenham for the size of the club and the stadium they now have and the fact that they had a brilliant manager who got them to a Champions League final a number of top 4 finishes have a dreadful record in terms of silverware. 63 years since they last won a title is far from the most painful statistic. Arsenal have one 3 league titles, nine FA Cups , one league cup and the uefa cup winners cup since Tottenham lifted the FA Cup in 1991 it’s worth noting that Arsenal were the league champions in 1991. I can’t remember a season where I seriously thought they looked like winning the title.

Anyone can feel what they want, and are free to say what they want but that doesn't negate the premise of the argument. IF you want your team to lose so you can have bragging rights over a bitter rival then just know you are part of manifesting a reality that means Spurs has a losing mentality nota winning one. I am a neutral and its been fascinating to observe all this unfold from Ange's comments to fans going OTT to the arguments. Which btw is a positive because everyone is engaged, I do think as part of a team rebuild fans also go thru a change as well. 'belief' isn't something you easily wrap yourself with, it comes with practice, with proof of results, with new quality players joining AND a belief in Ange's philosophy. Ange was shocked Spurs Staff were 'joking' to put out the 21 Side Team. And it is true, the fool who was sitting behind the bench yelling at Ange throughout the game "throw the game" until he finally snapped, and rightfully so. Ange was absolutely right in what he said at the press conference, for Spurs supporters to be singing for another side inside the stadium is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! Spurs supporters should have a veryyy close look at yourselves. And NOOO, Celtic supporters would not have done what Spurs supporters did. NOOO Ange DID NOT go over the top, you are wrong! Ange walked away from the Aust National Side Managers Job (and went to Japan) when he qualified them for the WP because the Aust Federation were 'just happy' to qualify, Ange had far more higher aims. Simply because she’s angry her beloved Arsenal aren’t gona win the league…yet wants to make it Spurs’ fault. Our players put in a brilliant performance, the manager desperately wanted to win…they are the most important things. The fact a number of fans were happy to drop points (in all likelihood completely unimportant points) to prevent Arsenal winning the league is not all that surprising. Especially when EVERY fan can see champions league football would be coming too early in the Ange project anyway. Nothing to worry about here! A non-story! But I also think we should support Ange for trying to drive out this embittered, loser mindset that the club needs to drop in order to progress in the future. I understand exactly why he was so upset at fans yelling at him to throw the match and not cheering on the team as they would normally, when so much was still at stake. If we can’t win the title who cares who does. We were still competing for a CL spot in that game and our team needed our voices to be screaming for them not some other team. Like I read some fan say keep letting Arsenal rent space in your head. This is not a winning mentality for Tot. I’m a new fan by some peoples standards and yes I’m not uk based so maybe my opinion doesn’t count for some fans. If you want Tot to be global brand like Chelsea Real Madrid Barca etc with the $ needed to compete against them in EPL and Champions league then leave the schoolboy mentality behind or keep complaining and get a trophy every 20 yrs or so. Has the penny dropped yet ? Probably for some fans it never will so yes the fan base will be divided unfortunately but let’s hope those with ADS become the minority. I would say it’s 50/50 atm. We played well against Man City. I have a question for you, Ange: why didn't you apply the same system against Arsenal? You tweaked your system and played Vdv, Dragusin, and Romero; this could have caught Arteta off guard, as he doesn't have the same experience as Pep. You could have given the fans some sort of satisfaction. Arsenal has and will always be our fiercest rival. When we played Arsenal, we were down 3-0 in the first half, and the performance was unacceptable. Do you know how hurt we were based on the first-half performance? You could have tweaked it if you wanted to, but you refused to, and now you are blaming the fans for being this and that. Ask Levy for the backing and get on with your job. We, the fans, will never cease to support our beloved club. Managers come and go, and one or two end up going to our rivals. Now let's focus on getting ready for next season; enough of this cheap talk. Mr. Daniel Levy will never change for any managers; he'll remain the same.

@@LevyHappyClapper Ange has hinted himself that something “within” the club happened within the past 48 hours (prior to the game) that showed him that Spurs have an issue with being successful. I expect him to announce that he will walk after the last match. He wouldn’t have made a big deal about the club or the fans if he is not walking.

Thanks for reading my msg but I’ll just say that I’m old enough to have been around when we were relegated back in the day. Do you think that banter wasn’t around in those days? Banter is what football is all about and guess what? I’m alive and kicking still. I don’t need therapy. I don’t hide from the Goons. Unfortunate fact is they are far more progressed than we are, so we have to accept that. Believe it or not fragility is unable to withstand the banter. If we are frightened of that, then maybe we shouldn’t throw mud in their faces either. Football used to be tribal fun, now it’s becoming another mental health issue. Do we now also do the Poznan when we next play the Goons? No fun no banter no enjoyment no football. Cheers and we’ll agree to disagree 👍

I remember when Arsenal lost to Leicester so we came third in a two horse race. You change jobs, cars, homes even partners BUT never ever change the support to the football club you love. Emotional damage for Spurs footballers that probably caused Son's missing a sitter. Barnaby buddy, you need to move boroughs, you are too close to enemy territory.

Kind of an oxymoron that your surprised with the level of continuing controversy when people such as yourself on KZitem and god are there way to many keep stirring the pot . I’m not Ange out but just don’t care anymore, the 4 games we lost were appalling! I’m also Greek and it’s a Greek thing with Ange throwing his toes out of the pram, he should have been this angry after these losses and maybe used the players he currently in a more practical formation!!

In our defence though, those 4 losses were all squeezed in horribly at the end of the season…against some of the best teams around and versus squads who have been built up and worked on for 5-10 years. There were signs of real promise and huge potential for us and loads to build on. I just hope we all back Ange, don’t allow the negative media coverage to divide us as a fanbase and he gets the support from Levy for a few years to build something massive. COYS

You typify everything that is wrong with the club. Lose 4 games & Ange out. He's taken a club that was a mess & got them into Europe with the best striker in the world gone. Everyone was saying 7th, 8th, 10th at the start of the year. Shit some were even saying relegation. they're 5th & still some aren't happy. As for being angry after the losses, you've obviously never been a manager, or if you have you weren't a very good one. More than once this year a Spurs player has said Ange gave then a huge serve at half time. Man management 101- Praise publicly, criticise privately.

Spurred on by people calling themselves Spurs fans but wanting Spurs to lose. Real Spurs fans NEVER want Spurs to lose. I was at White Hart Lane when Arsenal won the league I was a Spurs fan when we were relegated and went to every game the following season to watch us getting promoted again. I was at White Hart Lane when we won the the UEFA Cup, I was at Wembley in 1967 when we beat Chelsea 2-1, I've watched us win FA Cup's, League Cup's and UEFA Cup's, I listened to us winning the European Cup Winner's Cup. These people calling themselves fans who want Spurs to lose if we got relegated again they'd never watch another match, I saw you doing that watchalong and you weren't in the slightest bit upset we lost, you're not a Spurs fan you're a leech trying make money off of Spurs fans, a true hypocrite.

Surely the only people who could tell someone they're not a real spurs fan are the those who started the club in 1882. @@nigelgates1086 I was only 5 at time. To be honest I've had a love/hate relationship with the club since Levy took over the club. I grew up in Tottenham, so when the club gets bantered (which is daily these days) I take it personally. So I will hold on in the hope we get an owner who will want to bury the 'spursy' tag. I'm not demanding a league title or win the CL. But at least have a real go in the cups. - I didn't even want CL football just to make up the numbers but hope we secure the Europa League and give that a real shot.
