Thanks for the sharing. So many people in the world immigrate and struggle to find themselves to a new place. You're definitely not alone, it's a shared journey.

Absolutely! I have to accept that even though I spend 50 more years abroad, it won't feel exactly the same as living in my home country (in my personal opinion). But now, I see so many more people like me here. We share our journey, and I find comfort in the realisation that we're all just human and living hahaha. Hek I sound like a boring amateur philosopher! but yeah 😛

It's interesting to hear a Korean speak with a New Zealander accent. Pretty cool.

Aw, that's kind of making me feel good that I have an accent other than a Korean-English accent! 😛

Funny coincidence. We just moved home (US) after spending 14 years in 대전. So many highs and lows like you said but it ultimately makes you a stronger person. 화팅!

Wow! 14 years in Korea! I hope the experience of living there wasn't too bad! 😛 Here's to both of us being stronger than we were 14 years ago! 👾

Well I'll have the opposite problem of yours. I'm a Korean who grew up in South America but I'm going to live in Korea for some time. My Korean is just at a very basic level and I'm extremely concerned about how am I going to find a job and survive there with a basic korean

It's not the opposite problem; it's the same, just reversed! Sometimes, I think people worry too much, and when you're actually in the situation you were worried about, it turns out to be nothing scary or difficult. English has become the most wanted skill in Korea, and you've got the key! People will already be keen to engage with you, so use it as a starting point :) You'll be surprised at how many Koreans in Korea can speak English now. It feels like everyone studied abroad for at least 1-2 years! So, let's not worry about things that haven't happened. Let's worry about it when it happens. I am so sure when that happens, you'll likely have already figured out how to navigate it!! Good luck, my online friend!! 👏🏼

Great video! When are you going fishing again?

I went on a couple of fishing trips that I didn't share online. It's because... it was too quiet. Nothing really happened, and we got 0 fish. Also, we are trying to find a good fishing spot around the city we just moved to. Unfortunately, we no longer have a boat, so it has been a mission for us to find somewhere to fish where we can actually catch fish 😭
