C. Harold Lowden composed this music in 1915; it was first released as sheet music in 1917 under the title "The Sunshine Song." Later in the year 1917, C. Harold Lowden submitted the tune to a lyricist, Thomas Chisholm, who penned the familiar words, "Living For Jesus a Life That is True," and added a refrain to the hymn. Some years later, likely in the mid-1940's, missionary Jim Fawcett borrowed the beautiful tune for his hymn, "Cease Not to Praise God," which was published in the 1951 edition of "Hymns Old and New."
Instrumental piano solo.
