Glad for you the bus is running well now! One thing I would consider in the long run is replacing the tank with a plastic one, these liners are known to come loose after some years.

I've been wondering if I could make a full size bus work for my family of 4.

Seeing more of your bus, yep mine is alot like yours. Yours is a bit shorter by I think 1 window and you have the 189in wheelbase and I have the 217in wheelbase. So we have the little 60 gallon fuel tanks, instead of the optional 100 gallon on the longer buses. Same instrumentation, same side door that comes with a Handy bus. Looks like you have the same integrated AC too. Did you have a back AC also and take it out? I have one in the back like the one in the front just a bit smaller but it's also built into the bulkhead and I totally plan on keeping both to use while traveling even though only likely to use the front one. They both are 100% separate units with 2 compressors on the engine, so I could take the rear one out, but I don't think I will. I'm also not taking any of the OE heaters out other than that one in the rear by the lift door, I think I'll take that out and use one of the heater cores like the long buses uses under seat and build a closet over it and put a vent grate on the front of that enclosure under the closet so I have plenty of heat when driving without having to use the deisel heat or mini split. I just figured it's not that much more work to incorporate all that into the build an man oh man do those heaters and AC's work great so if all else fails, I'm at least comfy when the engine is running or traveling. Yours oughta be in great shape now after all that cash. Mine has the Cummins 6.7 ISB with only 132,000 miles so I sure hope I don't have the issues you guys do cuz that'll end my project. I know I don't have that ARD head so that helps a little but I do still have EGR, EGR Cooler and DPF filter, so long as those system keep working OK, I think I'll be in good shape. Just thankful, NO DEF system. Being a 2010, built in 9/2009 saved mine. Had it been built after 1/1/2010, it would have had DEF. Missed it by less than 3 months.

Thats awesome! Yes we took out the rear AC, but you have a good idea keeping it and the heaters. Best of luck with your bus build, we are excited to hear more about it in the future!
