dude this selfie with foreigners arghhh, also they stare at everyone! i am an indian woman who just returned to India after 14 years living in Canada and the stares are 😂I have started to cover myself all over! although I will say as a brown woman in Canadian prairie also got me a lot of stares! Girl I am sorry you had a crappy experience, I really hope one day you come back and allow us to show you the best there is to offer. India is so polarising in so many ways, and oh my god vaccines are essential!

Also I have people who has asked do I wash my braids.....it's out of curiosity, because people really don't understand Afro textured hair or our hairstyles, and how we care for it. The constant selfie requests can be annoying after a while.

I completely agree with you! It's genuine curiosity, but the questions can get repetitive or a bit overwhelming 😅

I left Hyderabad last year because of how much I hated living there, and I’m from India. The metro cities are usually better because people are used to and can accommodate diversity.

I'm from Hyderabad myself. I spent a few years in Detroit and fell in love with the mid-west. Once I came back, it took me a while to reacquaint myself with this environment. The sheer amount of people co-existing around me was unsettling. I grew up here, and yet after having lived away for long enough, I found it odd. It took some time to regain my footing. Traveling does change or open up perspectives. India is hard. Especially if you start biking anywhere. In the monsoon? I'd sprain my wrist turning the difficulty slider all the way up! Thank you for sharing your experiences!

Wow I really appreciate your perspective as someone from Hyderabad. You’re 100% right that traveling broadens our perspective and it can be really great or really difficult haha. I’m glad you also had an experience of both abroad and at home! Thank you for share as well😊

Traveling or moving dorm rooms or apartments and so on is stressful. I remember I ate fish soup for lunch in Vienna Austria before a presentation and my stomach started grumbling everyone could hear those noises in the quiet room. It was distracting I was trying to make a sale, pepeto bimol did not work, I had to tell them its the fish soup I could not digest and to ignore the stomach noises.

Traveling in India is like traveling in Europe, people look different speak different languages and so on. Traveling alone you need to do your homework. and Get an umbrella, put on a raincoat, buy a pair of rain boots. Read the newspaper follow the weather and so on.

I partly agree with you! Doing your homework is necessary, and I absolutely did mine in order to travel across the globe😅 there are just some things you can’t fully plan for - like sickness and unexpected events, but they are certainly opportunities to grow!

@@antonoko In your experience, How was traveling in Europe different from traveling India ? I have money, I did not travel as a student, so my experience traveling in Europe was similar to traveling in India. I love Europe, I love India I traveled rajasthan delhi kashmir gujrat bombay some places I dont remember, fun experience met elephants camels monkeys parrots cows so much fun. In gujrat India you see lions hyenas jaguars living out in the open walking down highways with people its incredible.
