Warning, long comment … Whenever you’re down, close your eyes and picture the Cristina that never tried, never dared to make a dream come true. How does she feel? I do that at times; It’s made me put one foot in front of the other and make changes right for me at the time. I then can turn so many parts of my life’s vision to reality. eg. I travelled to Norway last year, alone, as an ex-council estate kid, some would say ‘chavy’ black girl from east London why? because I was curious and simply felt like it. I’ve had bold career changes with no guarantee they would work out (it did), I’ve binned unsatisfying relationships even when other people thought I should be ‘grateful’. I’ve never watched your channel but happy to have stumbled across a bold, courageous, game changer who isn’t afraid to be honest in the moment. Sometimes you may be unknowingly influencing others around you to be more courageous in their own lives. I wish you the best however you choose to live yours.

The icy dip: At least you are doing it the proper Nordic way - go to to the Sauna (or hot tub) until you are uncomfortably warm to the marrow of your bones. THEN you are ready for a cool-down, the icy dip! A quick return to the Sauna is easy and pleasant, returning to a hot tub can be a bit painful and extreme (Icelander here). As for your personal life "struggles" - let your intellect AND emotions guide you. Any decision you make regarding long-term relationships and the begetting of children is a HUGE gamble but the rewards can be huge (been there, done that - TWICE!).

As a norwegian who has travelled around a bit, I find Norway the most plentiful country to travel in. It offers everything at a good price. If you travel up in the mountains and suddenly find a shop selling food and supplies, accept that running that place is rather expensive and they just can't offer you bargain prices like in the cities. Also, remember that love is nothing you go looking for, it's something you discover often when least expected. Just being yourself, its often the best strategy.

My Family immigrated to the US where I was born. I've been Single most of my life. However, most of my Adult Relatives in Norway are also Single. Everyone is highly Educated with really good jobs. However, I feel the main issue is that my Family Members have all become very Independent & Self-Sufficient. I always thought that by now I would have had a Wife & Two Kids + a Dog. I'm not unhappy, but Dating has been a bit of a nightmare. I agree 💯% that it has to be with the "Right" Woman, & I would rather be alone than to Settle with the wrong person.
@CristinaFilms

@@cougsjohnson1 Thank you for your comment! I relate to what you say, I think we are very self-sufficient and because we are not socially obligated to marry and stay with that person as previous generations, I think we prefer to stay single instead of being with someone because we have to. I have experienced on my own skin how painful and lonely it feels to be with the wrong person. And modern society itself feels like more inclined towards individualism, rather than prioritizing making a family. Plus it’s so expensive nowadays to have children.

I can feel your struggle, because I found myself many times in your situation. And I can confirm cold water swimming is the best "trip" one can have - getting high without health or legal dangers :D. Hiking and biking also helps, if the water is not cold enough :). I think you're on the best path possible, realising your real worth and acting towards real inner fulfilment. Maybe it will be tough sometimes, but the rewards will be worth it. For comparison, I also opted to rather be single after a failed 24 years marriage, and I work a tough but rewarding freelance job, both financial and self esteem wise. I had the same issues with procrastination, but lately I overpassed most of them. The most interesting fact is that in my darkest moments I found the most valuable help from totally unknown people all over the internet. Some person from the other side of the world can give the best advice and support, knowing there is no chance to ever meet you in this life. Good luck, you open minded beautiful girl, and keep your faith in yourself, because good days will eventually come. And many greetings from Romania :).

Suggest trying something like an Ottlite if you get S.A.D. It’s also recommended to get some morning sun on the skin, as much as possible. Finding your purpose in life can also help with motivation. I can’t say exposure to the computer and tablet LED light is helpful in the dim light. The long wave blue spectrum light can be harmful to to the optic nerve at the back of our eyeballs. Be careful with your self dialogue. Even the subconscious and symbolic meanings of words (and numbers) can have positive and negative affects. Self awareness and reflection helps us all regulate our emotions. Having a safe environment/person who will be nonjudgmental when we vent emotions is healthy. Be and do. Take stock and judge later. Don’t get too far ahead of the fleeting now. Perceive and understand, form a healthy perception. Try not to be perfect because the imperfections are where our individuality and creativity flourishes

Absolutely adore Flåm and the Sognefjord; and Bergen is very special. As for the rest, I could write a book about all the rights - and wrongs - of what you said, regarding dating and relationships. I'll spare you all that. As for the KZitem venture, the quality of your video is perfectly fine. That being so, the biggest aspect is marketing. You need 'shorts', Instagram, TikTok, et al, to drive views to the channel. The dating aspect will be a driver, together with travel/location based content. However, dating content will bring with it much hate, too, given some opinions you expressed in the video. It's inevitable, and far more likely the bigger the audience. If you go that route, you'll need a very thick skin! I note this is a month old. How's life going? Procrastinating again? Given up, or got a job, instead? Just interested.

😊 Thank you, I wonder that myself sometimes, but I am thinking that many women do manage, it’s probably harder in the beginning, but in time the ball rolls faster. The secret I have come to know is to become good and natural in front of the camera. So even though nothing gets published, practice filming oneself. Making videos can be time consuming, but if you become really natural in front of the camera, you save time in planning , in filming and in editing. Ps: I am not good yet, I do a lot of work behind the camera, I get anxious every time, but somehow I also love it.

Misogyny ? Even in Norway ? I am from southern Europe and there is still lots of it here but I never expected to hear about misogyny in Scandinavian countries. Wow ! I have visited Norway 10 years ago as a tourist and I loved the nature over there. Very green and wild. Almost like a landscape from a magical fairytale. I did not have time to notice pattetns of behavior towards women however. I'd love to travel to Norway again and explore more. I agree with you on the decision of not compromising your authenticity for companionship. I am the same way and single as well. I have no problem with it. If the right one exists I'll be here. Until then no worries. Life is great even without partners.

Happiness always live at balance. What is right balance for you, you will (or maybe not) discover through life. But more often than not, people that go too far in either direction, have bigger problems in life. So be careful not to be too "authenntical to yourself". Happy realtionship is always a big balancing act. Not only with prioritising, but also expectations. If you mainly care about your fulfilments and you set high standard for your partner, you are set to be alone, or you will never be truly happy in relationship. If you will not change your atitude against mens, at 37 you will quickly realize, you are the one at the short size of rope. Mens that have value that match your standard aren't interested in women over 40. Instead of picking up partner by your ideal standards, why not youst relax a bit, because that's how you should go into relationship really, listen your hearth instead of brain and go with men that make you laugh, make you feel good. Except he is different than you(every man and women are) and you will need to learn and accept that. If you can live in big City in Norway alone, you are financial in good position, so you can really focus on men with god social skills and family intentions. You are beautiful woman, so get you straight until you still have time, leave this modern woman wave thinking behind(which is very damaging for society) and learn to forgive your partner for things that are not important for relationship. Good luck.
@CristinaFilms

Interesting.. I see what you mean. But I genuinely wonder why did you assume that I have high or ideal standards? I love men that make me laugh, and that make me feel good and safe, as you say with social skills and family intentions…they are rarer than you’d think. It’s also interesting that you assume that I am not relaxed and that I go towards an extreme in authenticity, I in fact would love to share my authenticity with someone that is authentic themselves. I feel like some people really project their own limitations assuming what I must be like. But I really do appreciate you sharing your perspective, thank you! Sending good wishes!

@@CristinaFilms Sorry if i am not expressing clearly enough. I am not assuming you go to extreme, i just want to explain my view of what usually happen to womens if they go to far. Maybe i got wrong impression about the way you express yourself in video start talking about "not lowering your standards" just because...... Often that kind of talking you can hear from modern womens, that are still single at 40. But if you are not like that, i apologize. But one thing is clear. Biologically, ideal time for human reproduction is in twenties, not thirties or even in forties. Modern society think, it have the power to change what was evolving million of years. Also when you ask yourself, why a lot of mens doesn't have social skills anymore to make you laugh and feel good, or men you maybe like, doesn't approach you, this is heavily related to modern technology overuse. Whole generations are ruined because of that. Brain capacity is not trained anymore, because information travel only in one direction, meaning we are mostly consumers these days. A lot of men and women have a lot of problems to communicate in live interaction and feel uncomfortable, because are not used to it anymore. Also people in general become a lot more lazy, expecting technology will do everything for them, even dating. This is now offtopic of course, but very related when things are not in balance and thing you also need to consider when you ask why men and women with social skill and creative spirit are not in majority anymore when it come to meaningful interaction with you. Have a nice day!

@@majsterV Thank you for clarifying . 😊 I hear you, and I think you are right, technology is interfering with millions of years of evolution and who knows what result that will yield. Many people now online are talking about a dating crisis. For me I think that I have a lot of things that my life is blessed with , and I am more working on appreciating that, lowering what entitlement we have to think that we should have it all, and just be more kind with people around me and more grateful. That’s why I made this video, even though it has attracted a little controversy, I feel a lot of people will relate, and we can connect with each other, because life is ups and downs, and we cannot control everything or quick fix what we don’t like, but we can know we are not alone, or weird or so different after all.

@@CristinaFilms @CristinaFilms I see you are of good healthy mindset, despite life didn't go exactly as you maybe "planned". Never lose hope on what i think is most important and most fulfilling thing in every humal life......Feeling when you are loved and touched😁 by your loved ones. Only good relationship can give you that. But to have good relationship, both of you need to be of healthy mindset, be prepared to share resposibilities and support each other. No men or women will ever fit with some imagination we created for each other. Instead what we should do, is we need to find and be honest to ourself and partner, if we can live with his/her disadvantages. It is so sad to see modern men and women fight each other for right balance in life, not willing to make compromises anymore and put career in front of family. Once they realize mistake is usually to late. Anyway i wish you very best in finding happines and right balance in your life 👍

Judging by all the enthusiastic comments you've been getting, you shouldn't have any problems getting happily married, lol .. but otherwise life in Norway can definitely be a total nightmare for one who loves sunshine and warmth .. drowning in snow and swimming in ice all year round .. where half the year is eternal darkness and the other half the sun never sets .. NO thanks !! 🤣 Problems finding a good job .. start your own business .. if you're a good listener and strong in personality analysis, become a spiritual consultant or psychological counselor .. older folks for example are often lonely and just need someone to talk to 😉

I am really working on learning to be less entitled, more grateful and feel appreciation for what I have and for the people in my life.

Let me give you an impression from a 36 year old single man on how you appear to your target audience (single men that want family, I guess): Plus: attractive, outgoing, intelligent, has style, seems kind Negative: age, doesn't want to give up anything for him or her family it seems, says she doesn't know what she wants, talks about female oppression etc. (likely a feminist: be careful - no traditional values?), talks about "not wanting to settle" - yet talks about wanting to settle. I don't try to be mean here, you seem like a likeable person and I enjoyed this video, but I just want to give you honest feedback. You seem to me like you want a man that adds to your life, but you don't want to add to his life or have children that take any of your time. A family doesn't work like that. This is a serious conflict. You are near the end of your biological time window to have children, so if you really want that husband and children you should hurry and just look for a normal and good guy and respect him well and he will treat you well and respect you. There are so many good men like that out there and it is hard to understand how women ignore their existence and then complain they don't find good men. Also keep in mind 37 is really really late to be in this position. Even though you are an attractive person you would not be what I would consider as a partner to start a family because we would not have enough time really as a couple and then for some children. So men will likely look for younger women to start a family. You still can find a man for a family perhaps, but you definitely need to rethink your priorities in that case - and hurry. Again, not trying to be mean, but perhaps you can take something from this.
