Patrick W. Lappert, MD has been practicing in the field of Plastic Surgery for over 20 years. He has extensive experience in cosmetic surgery, particularly in the area of minimally invasive body contouring and facial aesthetic surgery.
Doctor Lappert completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His studies emphasized cellular physiology, and he was privileged to work in the laboratory of world renowned cell membrane physiologist Dr. Philip C. Laris.
Doctor Lappert completed his medical degree at the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine in Bethesda Maryland, graduating in 1983. He completed his Surgical Internship at Naval Hospital Oakland in 1984.
Doctor Lappert completed his General Surgery Residency at the Naval Hospital Oakland in 1991, and was Board Certified in General Surgery the following year.
Doctor Lappert completed his Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Tennessee- Memphis in 1994, after which he served the last 8 years of his 24 year military career as a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Naval Hospital Portsmouth Virginia. Dr. Lappert retired from the U.S. Navy in 2002 with the rank of Captain, USN.
