Little tip: perhaps try going to somewhere like Tesco or lidl and buy in bulk. I come from a big family and we find Costco quite expensive !! It's sometimes cheaper to go to one of the UK supermarkets. You might be pleasantly surprised!! Our favourites are Lidl, Aldi and Tesco x much cheaper than Costco- especially the fruits and veg!!

Home in London are very expensive often double the price of homes elsewhere or atleast in Glasgow. Also plugs here are stronger and by law can’t have a socket in the bathroom in case they get wet. That’s why the switch is outside the bathroom as it’s by law. There is usually a shavers outlet though.

The room, entering the front door, Is called a mud room, due to the wet weather, in the U.K. the mud room is where you take your rubbers/ muddy boots Off. We lived in Edzel, Scotland for 3 year's. I turned out mud room into my nail salon, ran my business there. If you get the chance, to stay a wee bit in Scotland! It is enchanting! Lots of hiking, the beautiful Heather covered hills, historic castles to visit! celebrating Robert Burns day with our Scottish friends, piping ( bagpipes) in the Haggis "a must try!" Aberdeen, Is Scotland's capital, and is amazing! Especially during Christmas! You will never regret visiting The enchanting story book land!

So the reason why UK 🇬🇧 people do not have plug sockets in the bathroom 🛁 is because it is very dangerous ⚠️( water and electricity do not work together ❌) also try going to Lidl or (Sainsbury, Asda or Tesco) they are different food shops. I live in the country with my my 4 brother’s on a farm we have to travel very far to shop for food or other stuff. Hint : if it just has a toilet 🚽 in it it’s called a loo. I’ve been watching you for a long time and I love you guys you’re the best bloggers in the world. ❤️

In the UK it’s 240 volts double most of the world. In UK homes most bathrooms have shaving points 120 volts for shavers and toothbrushes only. All light fittings are enclosed and lights are by string in pulley, health and safety because #240 volts don’t hurt they kill.

Oh yeah I’ve heard a lot of Americans comment about the fact we don’t have power outlets in the bathrooms. It’s quite handy when I go to a hotel that has a plug socket in the bathroom. But we just get told it isn’t safe, which is why we always have a pill cord light switch in the bathroom. It’s also common in most houses to only have one bathroom, unless it’s been remodelled or it’s a more modern house.

Last summer we booked everything last minute while still at the place before. It was kinda fun doing it that way. I always have problems finding somewhere for my longer stays in the Uk.Sometimes I have had to pick a house thats a minimum of six months rent and just leave earlier like about 4-5 months and let them pocket those extra one or two months.Still works out cheaper than hotels.

Entertaining stuff as always. I watched the videos of your travels in France and Ireland, and then the journey to Britain and was just amazed at how quickly you wanted to get from Holyhead to London. You missed so much on your way down there! Here in north Wales, you passed the Snowdonia National Park, the lovely coastline, and the Norman castles of Beaumaris, Caernarfon and Conwy - to name but a few. There's also Llandudno and Llangollen (gorgeous places). So easy to get to cities such as Liverpool and Chester. So much to see in beautiful Wales, in the north and the south. Had you stayed a little longer in the Chester area (it's nearly, but not always, cheaper to stay outside of towns and cities), you could have seen so much, which I'm sad you missed. There's the famous Pontcysllte Aquaduct (built during the Industrial Revolution by Thomas Telford and William Jessop) and the canal systems. You'd also have been within travelling distance of Shrewsbury and (I think) one of the prettiest towns in the England, Ludlow in Shropshire. There's Ironbridge, birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, with Blists Hill, a Victorian-themed town within the Ironbridge Gorge museums. There's so much to see here and each region is so different. If you go to the north east of England, don't forget to visit Whitby, a beautiful town on the coast (also nearby Robin Hood bay), and the Magpie Cafe to try their famous "fish and chips" (the best you'll ever taste....just add salt and vinegar!). Northumberland is yet another beautiful county, with Bamborough Castle (to name but one great attraction there), with beautiful beaches alongside. We have the Lake District, the Peak District, the Cotswolds, the south west, south and east coasts, cathedral cities,....and then there's Scotland, but I'd fill the screen describing that stunningly beautiful country, as you will see when you visit. I'm sure that many other viewers will have their own favourites to share with you. You're right when you say that this is an expensive country but, believe me, it doesn't have to be. The London area is the most expensive place to live and to visit. Don't get caught out thinking that London is representative of the whole of England. It isn't, as you will see when you move away from there. It's just a shame that you are here at the most miserable time of year (cold, short days, bare trees, etc) so I hope you will be here in the summer. Yes, it rains a lot, but when we do get sunny spells, we really do appreciate it. So, please, enjoy and take your time. Welcome to Britain.
