I will say, I have been using a 32" Panasonic HDTV for nearly all of the 2000s, up to only a few years ago. I was pretty happy with it and way back in the early 2000s, 32" was considered decent. I tweaked it as much as possible that it looked good even with the first formats of Blu ray. Then when the time came to finally say goodbye and shop for my first new flatscreen since my first one, I never looked back. Only except to remount the 32" back on the wall where I've been enjoying my new 65". I did that just for shits and giggles. I was taken aback and staggered by the difference. The 32" did feel like a baby TV by comparison. Like watching a tiny monitor and I saw what I was missing for years. Not to mention the 65" is 4k. All the lack of detail and blurriness of the 32" 720i TV that I thought was holding up was not even a comparison. Now, I'm already looking ahead to upgrade to an 8k. I might stick with 65", I feel that is my max. 65" might not be big enough to notice a huge difference from 4k to 8k, maybe it might, but it's more future proofing and getting newer high speed eARC and HDMI 2.1. Sound system is still a little outdated that uses optical, but the DTS still gets the job done.

Soon everyone will have hundreds of inchs tvs. Because the new micro oled vr glasses coming out are insanly sharp n they give the illusion of huge display in your house. The panel itself on them is supposed to have better oled colors then the current way they make oled.

Hey mate, great video. How does your TV and set up hold on? Still happy with it? I am about to install a similar setup, same unit so I'd like to hear any comments/recommendations from your side. Also, great choice of the bracket. Does it give you enough room to connect/disconnect cables from behind? Cheers!
@ILT_AU
9 ай бұрын
Yeah no complaints. I ran 4 x 5m HDMI cables in, so I don’t have to move the TV. Do everything you can to never move the thing. Don’t mount it high like everyone suggests. It’s perfect at a low height.
@jeylful

@@ILT_AU Thanks mate! I appreciate your reply. I couldn't find the same bracket but I found a similar Sanus one rated at 136kg so it should be Ok. I'll get someone to properly anchor it to the wall -- I don't want it to fall off. I'll follow your guidance in regards of the cables and height too. I am choosing a cabinet there is a King one I like so I might get that. Cheers mate, have a good one.
@ILT_AU

@jeylful no problem. I find when I sit down. My straight line of sight to the TV is about 20-30% hight from the bottom of the TV. Which means to look at the centre of the TV display, I’m still slickly looking upwards. Which I find the most comfortable. It appears the trend in the USA is to place the TV above a fire place which I find way too high up for my taste. Even more so for a TV above 75” in size. The Monster TV bracket was from Harvey Norman if you’re in Australia. The main thing is to make sure the wall can handle the weight, as I was building my house at the time. I actually made the wall specifically to hold 200+ Kgs for that TV. So for an existing home it could be more difficult. A nice low lying cabinet finishes it off very nicely also, congratulations 🙌 on the big screen TV my friend. You will absolutely love it.
