Safety consideration with Bengals also includes making sure they can't turn on your gas stove for instance, which mine did -- though I thankfully noticed it in time. Now I keep all the knobs in a drawer 😂

I got my cat when she was 5. She was born and lived her whole live indoors, with the possibility of a garden but that was it. She enjoys it. She doesn't even want to go outside. I give her cuddles, she plays, she can run, jump, look outside... she has everything here. She is also alone, but she doesn't miss another cat. She wouldn't accept one. People often are judgemental about indoor cats, like they can't be happy, but they absolutely can.

I once lived in a flat, and I had a gorgeous tortoise shell cat. After some time, she started to bite herself and pull out her fur. I grew up always having a cat and had never seen this behaviour. I was told she was having anxiety and so I took her over to my parents house where she could be outside and the difference was wonderful, she never displayed those behaviours again.

Hi Albert and Mia! My daughter and I love your helpful videos! We discovered you recently as we are very close to having a Bengal baby of our own. My biggest fear is the cat urinating outside of the litter box. We have only lived in homes with gardens before and our cats always accessed the Great Outdoors. Now we live in an apartment and although I am a huge cat lover, I'm starting to feel anxious that if the kitten makes mistakes we will struggle to get the smell out of carpets. Do you think a happy Bengal (one only as we have no other pets) who is litter trained on arrival and presented with a nice box will perform in the right place consistently?! Did you have any issues with Mia? And is there anything we can do in the first days and weeks to ensure that our new little boy only uses the prescribed area? Many thanks

Don't stress it Sarah :) Cats are very clean animals and rarely go outside of the litter box. Just make sure to put them inside it first thing when you bring them home.

Hi Albert! I just had a quick question. The family kitten is 2 months old and we wanna start taking him with us on road trips and stuff. I just wanted to know is it ok for him not to have a collar? whats your opinion on that. please let me know. thanks!
@mtdavisss
2 жыл бұрын
My husband and I live and travel in a van with a bengal cat who started road tripping with us as a kitten. I highly suggest getting them a collar or something with a tag to wear basically any time that there is a chance they could slip out a window, door, or any other kind of escape. Ours doesn't wear hers too often, but she is a runner so we make sure to have one on her any time she could get out

Probably on your bed bacause they like your smell. Try to offer a blanket or towel with your scent on it and place it on a raised surface where they can get snuggly.

Consider changing place. Cats can be very particular with the places they want to hang. Try to place the bed in an area that your cat already likes :) hope this helps!

@@hy930807 I had the same problem! Since it was a dog bed, I figured someone had bought it and their dog didn’t like it and they returned it. I got another one, and the kitties piled onto it. The bed you bought, may have the scent of another animal on it. Try taking it back, and get something different, to cover the fact that it may have a scent on it or he just doesn’t like the fabric. Good luck!

@@jjohnston1946 unfortunately this was a while ago and we have thrown away the tag and receipt. Maybe I should try and sit on it everyday see if he get on it for my scent lmao 😂. But strange enough even for the bed(a pillow) that he has lie on walk over etc when I put in his sleeping spot he still wouldn’t sleep on it and decide to go on the carpet next to it instead. Cats such confusing little thing

I'd like to know how to properly introduce new cat to a native one) Can I help them become friends? Albert, do you plan to adopt a brother or sister for Mia? Or is she happier on her own?
@OutdoorBengal
2 жыл бұрын
Hello Clarie! There's a video in the channel already talking about introducing two cats. If you can't find it, please, let me know and I'll try to find it for you. Regarding Mia, she has friends and we do play dates. I am living very far from home and traveling often. Taking a second cat would make it difficult for me to take them with me, which overall would be worse for her wellbeing. So it looks like it might happen in the future but not while I'm living in the US.

This is interesting! I don’t believe this is the channel to talk about this topic but would love to talk about it more. What I’ve seen works best is to ADD VALUE. Create content that helps/inspires people. About a topic that it’s attractive to enough people. Add your unique angle that will make people wanna watch your videos in addition to or instead of other people in your niche. Be consistent. Good luck!

Cats are happier in pairs, that's why I take Mia on play dates with my firends cats. The problem is that I live far from home and it would be almost impossible to visit my family if I had 2 cats... or I would have to leave them behind every time. As soon as I'm settled, it's something I wanna do! Thanks for the advice!
