You two seem like really great parents, this must be very hard for you but your son is really really lucky to have such strong loving parents. Stay strong, thumbs up for sharing, full view

As soon as I read your title I wanted to watch. My son also changed as soon as he had his MMR. He stopped making eye contact, he would get frustrated around people etc. Everything you've said sounds like my son!! He was diagnosed in October last year. He's due for another MMR but I'm not going to do that. It's not easy so I can completely understand what you've been through. The specialist schools are great, PECs have helped my son with his communication. I hope your son recovers from the seizures. ❤

I think it's great that you are willing to share all of this about your son. I don't really know much about the world you live in but I can appreciate your strength and I'm sure Ben does too. YCA.

Hi, I love watching your videos and you have a fantastic family. I have a 16 year old son with Autism and can relate to a lot of the things you talked about. The diagnosis age, the lack of support and the lack of genuine care from people around us, the meltdowns, the staring or occasional comments, the worry of travelling abroad, what will happen with him after we are gone, the lack of free time. When our boy was born I was 2 months away from my 21st birthday. We now have 4 children and it is not easy. Our 3rd child was born premature and spent 3 months in hospital. We maybe had 3 visits from family or friends to the hospital and after the first few days we had to take turns visiting him in hospital over the whole time as nobody would look after the other children for us. I have spent about 6 days away, without any of my children, since 2004. My wife has had a bit more time away as I try to make sure she gets a break and to visit her Mother who moved to Cyprus. With the tantrums, our son has eased out of them as he has gone through his teens, he is very attached to his tv shows and theme tunes, repeating them over and over. We find that when stressed in public, a portable dvd player and headphones is a great way for him to switch off and de-stress. All i wanted to add was to say keep doing what you are doing, it's not easy but you just get on with it, as you said. All the very best to you all and we look forward to the future videos.

That's brave of you to put out there that the MMR jab caused changes in him. Our youngest daughter had her 2-month vaccines and had a ton of issues afterwards (blindness, seizures, loss of her ability to cry/babble....a 2-month old that couldn't cry). Fragile X syndrome was also something that was considered for her but that was ruled out.

My son has autism and also has fits he is now 20 years old all the things you said Ben does is exactly want my son does even to the sleeping. If you live in East London The best day centre for your son in East London is called Antill Road day centre for when he leaves school. I have never hard another family with a child with autism who does the seem things as my son.

My daughter was diagnosed with autism at about 2 and a half too. The investigations began at 18 months. Took a long time. It makes things a bit more challenging but I wouldn't change her for the world. They reckon it's cause by the scar tissue on her brain which they think is caused by her being born 6 weeks early.
