I've noticed a common theme from your update videos. When your anxiety over the PVCs are conquered your PVCs seem to diminish as well.

Thanks a lot for making this video. I am also going through this and it is really scary. I feel like my heart is sinking or stopping every couple of minutes. I am finding it hard to continue my job because of these PVC’s. Your are doing a great job by sharing your experience through this video and is really reassuring.

Thanks for your comment and I know how scary these can be! With your job if it’s sedentary, have you tried a stand up desk? I know sitting for me was a trigger…..hoping you have at least tried all the common remedies, if not definitely look into some (magnesium, diet change and some of what I mentioned in this video)

I've had PVC's for over a year. No symptoms except complete annoyance and anger from them. Ablation was offered to me. I said no. Meds were an option and I said no, but Monday I'm meeting with cardiologist about meds. I'm 100% against meds, but I'm desperate for some relief. These ruin my sleep every day.

Thank you for sharing, did you have a Holter Monitor done to see how many you are having a day? I am with you, Ablation to me is last option....I have seen 4 cardiologists now (yes 4) and all said not to do ablation unless my percentage I get per day goes up OR they become lifestyle altering (other than annoying and occasionally scary) You mention they ruin your sleep, are you only getting them while you lay down? I didnt have any luck with Medication, metoprolol did nothing for me, I think they even made them worse! Ha! All the best to you

Dealing with them and all the testing much less time than you but have consumed SO much information it's absurd! I really think it's different for every single person, I really hope we both figure our core issue ASAP and get them stopped! GL man

I was diagnosed with benign PVCs in October, which was the first time I noticed feeling any palpitations (I’m 34). Was put on a monitor and it turns out I’m going in and out of Afib along with the PVCs/PACs. What a journey in 6 months. Sometimes the watches and stuff can really be useful but you’re right, don’t obsess!

You are strong. My burden can be anywhere between 2.5-20% of PACs, with a sprinkle of PVCs. Tried the Emergen-C but it gave me Tachycardia and increased the ectopics. Tried the lemon-ginger tea, but it just tastes interesting not doing much to help. I ditched the smart watch, but still obsessively take my pulse through the carotid. Everyday is a new journey, and it’s tough but I think your advice to stop worrying is good.

We are both strong! Interesting that your burden fluctuates so much, hoping it stays on the low side for the most part. I’m sure you’ve tried almost everything just as I have/did. No luck with magnesium? What does your cardiologist recommend? Same as mine to just let them be! Hoping all the best for you, Jacob!

@@gwheel3502 thank you :) Ya, I’ve tried quite a bit, including magnesium. I know people on Reddit talk about Magnesium Taurate so I think I’ll try that if I get a chance. Maybe even Taurine, who knows… I think my burden fluctuates because different positions trigger it for me, as well as having Dysautonomia, and high stress levels. Hoping for that day to come when things settle down, but I can’t let my life stop in the meantime.

Drinking LMNT (found on Amazon) 1x-2x a week has completely stopped mine. LMNT is a keto supplement powder to drink in 24oz of water and is a power trio of sodium, magnesium, and potassium. I didn't have any LMNT for a week and one or two PVCs came back. I drank an LMNT powder and they completely stopped. Give it a try please.

One thing I noticed is that mine are caused by posture. I can avoid them at rest, lifting, or even cardio, but I swear there’s something I do with my upper back that causes them. Usually involves my neck being lowered towards the front. Structurally normal heart and all that. They said I have minor pectus excavatam but it isn’t pushing on my heart. I think it may have to do with my spine
@LoganScott1117

But high anxiety causes them too

Also sorry for blowing up my own comments, but if I was given ablation as an option, I would take it. I imagine you’d feel great after. I had a catheter and it wasn’t really bad.

Appreciate the comments no doubt! I have pretty poor posture, have my entire life as I am pretty tall, interesting correlation no doubt. If mine were more burdensome I would consider an ablation more, however, though it is very safe it does come with risks no doubt and that’s where my real hesitation lies.

Did any of your cardiologists mention anything about the long-term clinical implications of 'too many' PAC/PVCs i.e. the effect of the ectopic load on the heart and the brain? It seems a high PAC load can be a forerunner of atrial fibrillation and stroke while a high PVC burden can adversely affect the left ventricular ejection fraction, eventually precipitating heart failure.
@gwheel3502
Ай бұрын
No they didn't mention anything, but I have read a decent amount into that and many of the studies I read said you are no more apt to get A-Fib with a high PAC count then any other person without them. The cardiologists only mentioned that prolonged PACs (10,15,20 years of them at the rate I was at) would require more frequent echocardiograms or even heart caths to be sure everything with the heart was looking good.

So from my understanding more than 2% of PACs are not good. Whereas 2% of PVCs aren’t concerning. Have you heard this too? I have 2.5% PAC burden only. But I’m sure it’s been higher.
