On 05/06/19, I began suffering with a virus which made my glands swollen, fever, headaches and nausea and I thought I would feel better in a week... I was wrong, I started to faint multiple times a day when standing up and it’s now two and half months later with no concrete answers.
The blood results came back normal and my blood pressure is optimal with position changes, but my heart rate goes up by at least 30bpm to 40bpm when I stand up and walk around. I have cut my head a few times, sprained my wrist and bruised nearly every part of body when I have fainted.
This has affected my life so much that I am unable to go to a job, which I love and had to purchase a wheelchair and shower stool. I am also suffering with depression with not being able to leave the house unattended.
There hasn’t been a day where I haven’t fainted and the maximum times in one day was 15 syncope episodes. The 24 heart monitor showed high and low spikes in my heart rate, however didn’t catch anything during the events.
We have tried compression socks, increasing water and salt intake and the results are the same. My symptoms include heart palpitations, dizziness, presyncope, syncope, sharp pains under right shoulder, nausea, fatigue and occasional stomach cramps. I also pass out when I sneeze.
We have seen that some people suffer with a syndrome called POTS, are these symptoms similar to yours? Is there anyone out there who can give us some advice?
The next referral is for an echocardiogram, then neurologist however the specialists and GP’s haven’t provided any treatment and it is weeks away until the next set of tests. Please like and share this video and help us to get some answers.
Thank you to Millie Patten and Debbie Patten for the camera work! Much love ladies.
