Wow, I’ve watched quite a few VisionPro reviews but I think this is the best one yet. You covered so much in such a short amount of time it’s left me exhausted! Most reviews have come to the same conclusion- incredible hardware but what is the compelling reason to put it on after the novelty wears off. If everyone who tries it has similar responses it could be hard for Apple to stick with it long enough for the hardware to become small and light enough, and the software to become really useful enough, for widespread uptake. Anyway, great review Tom.

Great review. The thing that disgruntled users of other devices can’t seem to understand is the USER EXPERIENCE is important in technology. For years, people have argued ”my… can do that too!” oblivious to major differences between the two experiences. Apple seems to be the rare company that understands there is a threshold a device must meet to become a great user experience. The smoothness of the eye tracking coupled with the pinch selection and the two 4k OLED lenses met the threshold people needed to take VR headsets seriously. Businesses, early adopters and should now make the early steps that eventually lead to wide adoption and cheaper prices.

I had a trial of the Vision Pro yesterday at the Apple Store while my iPhone was being repaired. I was absolutely stunned. A really exciting and almost unreal half hour. As someone who loves going on safari, being amongst the elephants was just like being back in Africa, so real. I have been so excited about the Vision Pro since that I will almost certainly buy -and I was someone that had no interest in the Vision Pro before. If you are someone that can afford this definitely expensive device, and have not tried, do book a demo at the Apple Store - you will be blown away!

The key reason why Disney working with Apple, but not with other headsets is the closed environment, what make the piracy is significantly harder.. 99 out of 100 will pay properly for the content, but on Android or on another cheaper and more open product at best the 50 out of 100 will pay for it, so no reason for them to open the possibility for free piracy on quality content..

I almost dropped my demo unit at the Apple Store when the light seal partially came off when I was putting it on the first time. Not a great confidence booster. I also experienced the tunnel vision FOV with the light seal they matched me with, I'd experiment with a shallower one before deciding to buy. Besides the price the main roadblock for me is that I don't see this improving my productivity in any way. It'd be a new way of doing things but not necessarily better. The fact that the OS is much closer to the iPad than the Mac tells me it's not going to boost my workflow at this point. After years of experimenting I've firmly relegated my iPad to content consumption and light email. I'd like to see both the iPhone screen mirrored within the AVP and to use the iPhone keyboard for text input throughout the OS.

@TamasKiss-yk4st
7 ай бұрын
The same functionality is a bit harsh, the max 2K resolution 2D movie with only stereo audio is deffinitly the same quality like the 4K resolution 3D movie with spatial audio (about the same like the 7.1 sound). Just the initial displays are so far from any other (2200x2000 for Quest 3 is 4,4million pixrls per eyes, about 9 million pixels in total, but the Vision Pro has 23 million pixels, about 2,5x more). Same for the sounds, simple 2 way stereo vs 7.1 sound system.. you can't really say that they are about the same. And based on their current video capability the Vision Pro already miles ahead, don't forget you are comparing a 3rd gen with 1st gen, even the Vision Pro 3 will get at least that amount of apps like the Quest currently can offer.. but for better quality and more powerfull performance on Quest, it's nit enough just a few years of OS update, but the Vision Pro still can evolve just with OS updates a lot, plus with more and more apps.

@@TheBsheep seems like only people who want the vision pro right now are reviewers, it's even covered in the video lol

@@aaron4820 Naw...It seems many people can't afford the Vision Pro...that's why they like to see bad things about it, so they can feel better about not being able to get one. 4 grand is a lot of money to shove out...most people don't have that type of cash just laying around.

Great summary! I have most the same complaints I’ll wait for wwdc. If doesn’t change a lot I’ll sell it After a month I have some complaints 1 Comfort - not weight, the lack of support up. With a right band I wouldn’t mind wearing 2 country restrictions 3 lacking apps, Autodesk. 4 no mouse support? 5 mac desktop peripheral unfocused

I will say pass through has gotten a lot of praise from many reviewers. VR has never gotten that right.
