People saying a squall is off-pitch is definitely coming from people missing the point. I don't care if the squall is up there next to Jesus, or down in the pits. Squalls are pretty much the ultimate climax, or poignant part of the specific lyric in the song. Lizzo used it perfectly.

I agree with all your points on her. Check out Lecresia Campbell singing Stand Still or she also sings with Jerry Smith and the children of Israel Draw me nearer now when I say she's a powerhouse I don't think there's anyone else like her yes there are other extremely talented vocalists like Rachelle Ferrell Whitney Houston Lisa Fisher Anita Baker but she's in her own lane in the gospel and her range is insane like I can't even wrap my head around it she hits notes that I've never heard before nor can I hit I've tried lol

So often when someone says something is "off pitch", it's the thing that sounds best to my ear and my soul. I guess it's just the "soul" of it that everyone isn't going to get. 🤷🏾♀️

Lizzo definitely has extreme talent and not only does she have extreme talent she has a story to tell and not only does she have a story to tell but she's reaching people with her pain with her trials and tribulations who also might have gone through the same as she has or even worse and I appreciate her for doing that because people need that especially nowadays I think they've always needed it and she's giving other big girls a platform to shine I love that have you seen her show searching for a big girls or I think that's what it's called but yeah I definitely appreciate her gift and like you said she's unique on to herself she's not like anybody else so she doesn't have to fit a cookie cutter mold of what a singer is she is a singer she's gifted she's talented so anybody outside of that that has something to say negative they're just hating cuz she's black cuz she's big like she said or because they're jealous of her talent

Lozzo makes great music!!! I'm learning when people see people darre to live free, they reject it because they either can't understand it or are jealous they don't think they can exhibit that freedom and deal with the judgment.

WELL....WELL....WELL... SIR!! Now THAT'S how you do a vocal analysis, You were not expecting her clearly to be so talented....but Lizzo is a little of everything...THAT IS WHY PEOPLE LOVE HER SO MUCH ON TOP OF HER UNIQUENESS AND DARING TO BE COMFY IN HER OWN SKIN. We had a young lady do a SADE analysis (a sistah) on here WHO did nothing but slam her at every turn, left and right with her face all tore up and these long sighs like she could not find anything good to say about A TRUE AFRICAN QUEEN in all of her stellar magical delivery of all of her songs. Each one is a Masterpiece and a lyrical journey. She doesn't have to be out there trying to be something she is not or go out of her range etc but she is a lot more talented as an overall artist and musicality. You were not threatened, or put off by heR (LIZZO)'S style or performance. This performance of her's actually brought me to tears because I lived it and you can tell that she has too. Could you please do one on her (SADE) and don't leave out some of the less popular tracks on her earlier efforts. I had to clapp back at sistagirl and come for her because she really sounded jealous. Finally, many have come and gone, one hit wonders, drugs, or whatever we won't mention who. I just told her to go to, or watch online one of SADE's live concerts (that sell out globally in 2hrs) and look at the folks there that refuse to sit down they are so AWESTRUCK by her band and her velvety magic carpet ride clean, entrancing vocals. Actually, better than studio everytime. You may not like her style but Her brillance in a live performance goes unmatched. Nobody can sing like that woman or even try to. No lip sync, and that lil crack in Lizzo's voice that you caught, she does the same thing for passion, and effect. Please do her SHE IS TRULY LOVED. & HER VOICE IS AN INSTRUMENT!! GOOD JOB!! btw WHITNEY WAS ONE OF THE BEST BUT TERRIBLE LIVE AND ALWAYS CRAZY LATE..sorry.
