The design is very similar to the back of some alienware laptops

This is perfect for my Lenovo Legion Pro 7i. Using 1000 rpm , sometime 1200-1400 rpm. It does certainly worked. Better than using a simple stand, plus it keeps the dust off your laptop.

There is a new version i bought is called Llano V10. It has 3500rpm. Slimmer design. The fan is also shrouded so less noise. Usb hub is at the back and looks clean.

Only 12cm fan at 3500rpm, instead of 14cm fan at 2800rpm like V12. Overall cooling performance is probably still better on the V12.

@@gravettian1235 i still like the new design. Cooling performance is just the same .

Excellent video! Where does one get a replacement foam (the seal between the cooler & the laptop)?

How does this thing affect the laptops fans? Does forcing this amount of air into the intake possibly damage them.

That's a super interesting question! It lead me to do more testing. I set the MSI GE66 to its max fan speed and used various RPM's on the notebook cooler. I found that 300RPM on the notebook cooler had no effect on the notebook fans' RPM. This means it won't damage them at all. Raising the notebook cooler to as little as 800RPM caused the notebook fans to spin slower. Raising the notebook cooler's RPMs further made them spin even slower. I would say that if the notebook fans spin faster, that would definitely raise some questions. It all depends on the operating parameters for notebook fans. Changes in sea level and air density also affects fan speed in similar ways. Manufacturers have to account for this sort of thing. Without knowing the specific tolerances for the MSI GE66's fans I'm at a loss to perfectly address this question, but I hope it helps anyway! 😊

Thanks for addressing it. Nobody else has responded and I greatly appreciate you taking the time. I have a small overheating issue that's not critical and has benefitted slightly from a laptop stand. I actually bought the llano which is still in box as I am seeking as much information as possible from Acer as to their feelings on using a cooler like this. I'm very much like the idea of a filter prior to air entering the system as it only makes sense to prevent having constant dust buildup on interior fans. Thanks Again 👍

For me this would give better performance because my laptop gets REALLY hot, so hot that the CPU always thermal throttles (CPU getting so hot it needs to decrease performance to cool down) Even in gaming at low settings :sob: so I had to disable some performance settings in the BIOS for some minor temperature drops.

I used to have in power settings the performance processor boost mode disabled to make sure i can drop a few degrees down on the heat for my Legion. I hope this works because I hate to hinder performance of the laptop due heat...

This is perfect! I have the MSI Titan 18HX, a very similar laptop to yours. I hope it fits this laptop too.

Is there anything like this that works at least a little bit and cheaper? My budget is quite low and idk what to do.
