Can a stock Allison transmission handle this power or does it need upgrading too? My truck is a 2012 GMC, has a Fass 165 Lift pump and a Bean Sump, other than that it’s completely stock. Also, I hear so many horror stories about the CP4. Thanks, Ron

In this package we do suggest our DT550 built transmission. We also offer the DT750 if you have plans of going bigger in the future. The 10mm CP4 from Exergy is the answer for your concerns on the stock Cp4. It features all the improvements and offers a stock fitment for ease of installation and ability to retain factory emissions equipment.

Phil G. Because the lml is emissions compliment. The lmm emissions is problematic long term. They advocate 2011 + def emissions compliant platforms. That’s their niche.

The lmm is really similar to the lbz so they usually mash lly/lbz/lmm together they make stealth turbos for those

Both J Smith and Joshua make valid points. While we will be launching a Stage 1 for the LMM, we don't think it is a viable or reliable option to take above that power level (at least with what we can provide for them).

Do you recommend head studs when looking at this package level?

Not unless you have already blown a head gasket. It is very rare to need it at this HP level, especially with our tuning. If for whatever reason you do blow head gasket we would put studs in at that time.

Tie rods should be on first bundle also

For the earlier models definitely. Or if you are going to be really working the Stage 1 bundle in 4WD. And you of course can add them to the Stage 1 if you desire. However, we considered that most (not all) of our previous customers with the Stage 1, didn't have any plans for 4 dig burnouts or boosted launches.

I agree but these mods are supposed to be for off-road “only” so best case would be to be over prepared that’s just me tho lol

Depending on how you use the truck we would not generally dive into either. Maybe if you have a CCLB and want to sled pull we would consider a 1 piece drive shaft.
