Also a key principle on the WC long pole. The right wrist is bent out so the knuckles rest against the right thigh and connect with the core. Arm pits are sealed. Left rear hand wrist is also turned out for a direct bone alignment with the pole. The base/end rests in the center of the left palm grasped by the thumb, middle and forefinger. I’ve seen some Wing Chun schools using that kind of thrust with the rear hand ending under the front shoulder’s armpit. Has this been tested out hitting hard targets? This kind of thrust seem awkward and weak, and the pole’s base end might slip and hit back at the user (the armpit where the rear hand ends) if the grip fails against a hard target. Other Wing Chun systems used a more conventional pole/spear thrust
