Not ashamed to say I cried listening to this. My grandfather sang this to me all the time when I was little, and these four young men just absolutely blew my mind.

Dear quartet singers. superbly done L Lomond, for sure. I am an Alma College vocal singing alum who did, eons ago, sing with their choir. Alma College is a Scotch ancestry school called the Alma Scots. They have kiltie dancers, bagpipers and wonderful choirs. This quartet version is a very similar one that their current choir does. C if you can find it on line...under Alma College. Alma is still the home of the annual Highland Festival each year...May or June???? Thanks, guys---sounds really, really good; keep it up. Hope to maybe see some other songs you do. Wonderful. Makes me home and college-sick.

From left to right the names are Justin Howe, Mitchell Lemmon, Leonardo Escobar, and Steven Johnson. We performed this in Elko, Nevada and yes the sound was a little off. We haven't been able to record anything since but we look forward to doing it with higher quality equipment.

@Orovir You have every right in the world to dislike their arrangement. I only took issue with your statement that they are "supposed to be a fairly professional group." I called your level of respect in to question based on this statement. Whether you liked their performance or not, they are a VERY professional quartet and immensely talented.

@Orovir Professionalism is not so much a personal preference as you think it is; they sing around the world on shows for money, which of course makes them a professional group by definition! Singing is their job. I don't mind if you don't care about my calling your respect into question, I'm really only continuing this conversation so people who see this video and these comments don't read your original comment and write Realtime off.

All four of you have lovely voices but you need to listen to each other a bit more. It's all a bit con belto! If you aren't singing the tune at any given point, and you can't hear the tune being sung, you're too loud. You could put in more dynamics too. But on the whole this is a good performance of a challenging arrangement, so well done.

I very much enjoyed this and cannot find any more of their performances! Who are these guys? Where was this done? Who arranged it? I was nearly brought to tears by the opening solo and the performance got better as it went along. I am imagining how much greater this presentation could have been with better sound equipment. Thank you for posting this gem and please let me know how I can listen to more like it! Bravo! - Chas Wilson, a new fan of yours from Tacoma, Washington, USA

sorry. i think there is not "THE BEST". its moderate. The intro does not fit! Where is the bass in the first and second part? lead and bari are to dominant. only the third part is in balance. i know, this song is not easy to sing. i think the sound would be better whithout micro.

I will agree with you to the fact that these boys lack the artistic side of this piece but I followed your HD chorus and i can't say that they are much better they have zero blend I had to fight to hear the first tenor part all in all extremely unimpressed Iowa St still have the best in my book.

not to bad. it sounds like its being sung 3 parts. the lack of bass sound and the over powering bari/ lead parts throw off balance. also from singing this song, some of the pronunciations were off. all in all not to bad
